Hi The Namek! That's looking really good!If I might add suggestions of "the golum look" from modeling him in sculpey....his ears are abit bigger and stick out. He has very high cheekbones, the eyes aren't so big also. I found the shape of the back of his head hard to master. It is very like a human head but his neck goes up quite high. Also, with him being mostly bald, it's hard to keep adding to the height of the head, but it's quite high.
That's all for now, but I'd like to recommend sculpting in order to learn the shape of creatures. It's much more "tactile" than the computer and so you can feel where things should go.
Here's a good front picture of him: http://www.theonering.net/scrapbook/view/6856

I like the work on the mouth.
I'd take a look at the eyeballs however.
It's looks like you have positioned the iris/pupil at the top/bottom of a sphere, and the smoothing process for that area of the geometry is causing a "point" at the pole to develop, as indicated by the spike like specular in the pupil area.
