    Post Apple In The Window: My First Painting WIP

    Inspired by the recent Still lifes, ive tried my hand at painting a pic. Heres an early version. No 3d at all. Just brushes and flat material. Tell me what ya think.
    I think its really hard to paint shading. Im use to just rendering it .
    I gotta finish the table and windows by making more wood like and making more square like.

    It looks like a nice wet-in-wet method watercolor painting...Thanks for sharing this, and I think you acheived a nice light in this image.

    thanks Stonecutter. My pics are normally monsters and stuff so this is sort of a step back from that.

    looks great ... however im not really sure how the apple or the table is sitting... its a wonderful painting by far but thats the only part that tricks my eyes i guess...

    I like the black and white one. It looks like a charcoal drawing.
    The direction of companion mind should cooperate with rescue at lighting of a red lamp,or a buzzer. Please give me connection from a nearly extraordinary telephone.

    Hi LWTB,

    I agree with the others - while both versions are great, the black and white version is very striking. It reminds me of images I created long ago using a homemade pin-hole camera.
