    Great Rendering and sculpting,
I was about to swear I've seen this guy before. Now I'm sure. He reminds me of Mark Alfrey Sculpting videos Prosthetic Make UP for Beginners. But this means you nailed him man.

What is your vray rendering setting for this high quality render? What is your lighting setup? I used to use vray before but when I started school I had to use MR.

Now for the critique ... for The eyes ... my only suggestion is to give them some depth. Because they look a little bit flat. but I got to tell you Personally I don't do a good eyes either.

really cool work! awesome skin shading!

i remember one feature "fix seam" in the texture map-panel. maybe you could try that to get this seam fixed.
    keep it up

Wow. This is some amazing work. I hope to get to this level at some point. I am just going to say this just to be nit picky and but I would do something more with the ears. You have this great fleshy and uneven look on your character but except for the earlobs the ears look pretty symmetrical. If it were my model I would maybe mess up the left ear some to offset the unevenness of the right side. Take this Critique however you want I am just adding my two cents. This is an awesome model worthy of Top Row. You should be proud of it.

Thanks everyone! To answer some questions I am using Vray in Maya, with a displacement map and a bump map for the pore and stubble detail. Im using a sss2 blended with a vray material to get better reflections. The color map is mostly hand painted and the spec is just a noise map.

ryantodd - good call on the ears, i think they could use some more asymmetry, maybe even some WAX

wethand - thanks, I know the seem is there i just haven't fixed it yet, once i get caught up with modeling the rest of him i will go clean up stuff like that after.

Eiad - I have never seen those videos before but I will check them out now! I think they eyes lost some depth when i added film grain, they still need some tweaking tho so i agree

Here is my material setup for now for the skin, like i saed this is all still very early on in the project but if there is interest i will keep material settings updated as well. Also here is a reference pic and a straight out of the box render,

    This is looking really promising.
I'd second the ear comment, looks a tad inflated at the moment.
BTW, I love the face... and I'm not his mother. ^_____^
