No no no, you have not upset me and I do not think that you could.
If anything I am worried about you and hope that things work out.
Seriously, I care far more about you being happy than anything else.
You are the motivation behind me digging in and learning to make these things, along with a few other parts of ZBrush and for that I have to say thank you (again! GRIN!)
Seriously, you inspire me with your work and your use of materials got me wondering if I could figure out how to do the same.
With out you I would not know how to use ShadowBox or make these matcaps and a number of other things that I learned while trying to figure out how you were doing stuff.

    Thank you John.

    Cheers,

    Hi Mealea

Thanks for the kind words, they lifted my heart a bit - I'm hoping things get better sometime in the future, but I can't bet on it...

    Thanks

Bet on it anyway, I mean, what have you got to lose right? No mater what is happening things can always get better.
I have a friend who has a t-shirt that says "It could be worse, you could be on fire" and I think that is a great way of looking at things. At least if you are not on fire!

And now I'm going to upload some more.

    Cheers,

I have been horribly busy lately and I did these a while ago...

Its a funny thing, I wanted to learn how to sculpt after learning Sculptris so I got ZBrush, at first I hated the 2.5D end of it, to me
it seemed at the time like bloat and clutter. I was wrong, now I sculpt to make brushes for 2.5D stuff. Its funny how things work
some times, 2.5D is maybe the best thing I have ever seen on a computer.
Hopefully I will be less busy soon and have some more time for ZBrush and this place, I have missed you all a lot.

    Cheers!

    Hya Balthazar.
Don't worry about off-topic stuff, at least with me.
Alphas can be made inside ZBrush, in just about any paint or graphics program and even using photographs.
All they are is an image and you can import them with ease into the Alpha Pallet in ZBrush, if you look
at the bottom of the pallet you will see the Import button, I use .jpg and .bmp usually as I haven't got
    Photoshop either.
With alphas you are making an image that describes the shape of a bump, white would be the high part
of the bump, and black would be flat, so if your image is all black it wont do anything at all. Varying
shades of grey are all the stuff in between, like
the side of a hill sort of.
To make Alphas in ZBrush itself you can use any object or drawing on the canvas by going again
into the Alpha Pallet and at the bottom hit the Grab Doc button, the drawing you have on the canvas
will be converted to a greyscale version of it self and you can now select it to use on your brushes.
Seeing as you haven't got Photoshop you might like this program (its free):

    http://www.getpaint.net/

Once you have it and its installed look in the forum for plugins, there are tons of them and once you
get the hang of things you will realize you don't need Photoshop, besides its too expensive.
I hope this helps some, ZBrush can be confusing.

Thank you, I am very glad to be back.... work has been insanity for a while now.
Its funny I like that one too, it took a while longer to render cause its a lot bigger than usual but it was very fun to make.
    nope...

    Hello again Everyone!

    Thank you Michalis!

Blue, your tutorial is sort of done, its been sort of an odd process as the way I
do things is diferent than the way I would describe doing things, but I will post
    it in a moment.
I am having a lot of trouble with ZBC at the moment, the text box I am typing
into at the moment is so large it goes off the side of my monitor by about a foot
or so and that is going to mess up the tutorial but I have a way of fixing that
    I think.
Ok I'm going to post this and maybe this silly problem will go away.
    nope...
I don't know what I'm doing but I'm doing it anyway.
