thanks :) its fun playing with Marmoset's skin shader. Its really capable of a lot considering its realtime.
okay so I'm sorry for the radio silence, been busy at the studio for a bit. Here is an update to popeye (still going with that)
and here is another realtime piece I'm doing in...
I'll take a look at it, thanks!
Opened the eye, created a paralax normal mapped refraction on the eye, added hair cards to the jaw (just a few) for scruff and lashes. Tweaked the corncob pipe to be lighter in color. Still chugging...
playing around with more complex lighting setups in Marmoset Co, their tools are pretty slick, did a base pass on the clothing, just a quick rough out in dDo. Too dark I think, still playing around....
tweaked proportions of the legs and redid the back of the popeye model I'm doing, first tests of the tattoo, and baked out everything. currently 35k tris hires: http://i.imgur.com/xX6NClL.png
added a few more maps to the skin shader, helping flesh it out a bit, and then began to throw some of the low poly block ins in there, except the pants which is a decimated mesh
a bit of an update of the popeye sculpt piece I did a few nights ago, I retopoed it for realtime, and baked out a few maps for the skin. popped it in Marmoset.
a popeye sketch, it was more of something with playful anatomy that I could have fun with.
Just did a speed sketch of Lawrence Sonntag from Funhaus on Youtube. Just something to stretch the hand.
something I sketched today, I haven't had a ton a time to finish any project I started lately because its been a busy time at work. But I think I may be able to see some through to completion soon.
a sketch from a sphere, stylized older female, just a block in finding forms, kinda going with a bit of a pedro conti vibe with this one. I might see it through, on the detail pass, I'm thinking...
Its just to sell the chisel and tooth of it, more gruff for gruffs sake. :P
Did a detail pass on the face, might use it in a different capacity for the image. I don't know yet. going for more of a brutish almost stylized strength feel
I did a quick sketch this evening, just a block in, and a lighting idea using BPR, very rough. I purposely left the head really roughed in because I might tweak some forms and don't want to get that...
Heres the vid finally :)
