Very cool...especially with the new mat applied!
nice to find your dhalsim here :)
nice work!
willbrown1: Thanks! I hope so :D.
schiefer: Thank you!
SolidSnakexxx: You can call this an amalgamation of various matcap renders :D.
abe_Tamazir: Thanks :D.
Trying a blue version on the new mat. Not too happy with it and I do not like the straps on the forearm and shin at all :(. I personally liked the metal plates I was using earlier. Some suggestions guys?? I feel the plates give him more of a warrior's look than the straps.
You've got some strong sculpting skills, keep it going man. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
I like the blue version
Nice work! :tu:
The blue version is COOL! :)
i liked the gold plates too. anyways, this is a badass sculpt any way you put it.
Looking good, I like the straps more because of the texture, but they do not seem to be able to stay in place, maybe they need to cross over each other, to create more believabilty. The leg recededing away on the right has a cloth like look and contrasts with the harsh lines of the character, which I like. Anyway it looks amazing. One question I have is does the characters backstory support gold pieces or is he a warrior aesthetic.
mutte696: Thanks! I love your thread by the way :tu:.
mokthemagicman & roger: Blue it is! :D
skinnybonez: Well I've refined the straps also but yeh I'm still as confused as before :D.. lol.
Point: Well thats a good question since Dhalsim's a cross between a Yoga master, martial artist, and witch doctor. I don't see any room for elegant gold plated armor there. I did redo the straps and made them more free flowing. They do look a lot better now. There something about those gold plates that just keeps me going back..lol.
Here's the preview of the arm straps and also some close ups of the face.
Amazing! Great job. Its very beautiful. :tu:
Looking cool. Ryan Kingslien has a free tutorial on Gnomon's site that deals with sculpting straps.
