Dman, Ron, Cherea thank you very much!
Here is a Happy Christmas to you all! My wife is Japanese, so every year I have to try to blend Western and Eastern traditions, not always with the best success :) This time I think most people will get it. Famous last words!
Cheers,
Rory

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you Rory. Your cat looks like one of your black and white drawings!

This is an illustration I did recently. It was entirely drawn in ZBrush 3.1, painting black and white images to represent each colour shade. I constructed the RGB composite in Photoshop, translating the B&W masks into colour fill layers, defined by spline shapes, generated from the ZBrush images.

that dragon is superb! is this a personal project?

Thank you. Yes it is a personal project. I wanted to create an iconic, emblematic design, harking back to four colour process comic art of previous decades, when modern airbrushed gradients couldn't be printed. Glad you like it!

ZBrush Smoke Test
The 2011 Halloween Competition inspired me to experiment with creating smoke in ZBrush. I think I got quite a nice result and have posted the tutorial in this thread here:-
