if you like some crazy polygon wireframes here's some stuff for ya
Great model and execution crashmgn. Very impressive work. How much of it was done in ZBrush?
These are fantastic... but let me get this straight, you built them entirely outside of Zbrush? No Zbrush sculpting was used? Then you imported them into Zbrush... to render them? Isn't that kinda backwards? :qu:
2 EricShawn I've used zsketch to find some shape and proportion after that i've converted sketches to unified skin and used this stuff as a proxymodels in maya
so basicaly the final models were made in maya. As for the backward thing you've mentioned...you know technically you r right but i think it's not the bad idea to do some render stuff in zbrush when u just need to represent your models. In zbrush u have tons of premade cool materials and no problems with all this lightsetups, GI stuff and so on. You can make some cool images really quicklly without any tweaking so i think this make sence.
2 Stephen Babb Thanks a lot! some base forms and proportions were modelled using zsketch and the renderings ofcourse.
Dude, beautiful beautiful gun. The high poly is gorgeous and its a great concept!
cool stuff!
kinda reminiscent of Zorg Industries ZF-1 Pod Weapons System (or at least
brings it to mind)
nice job. :)
10000 stars! Fantastic!!!! Top row!!! :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
Good god those are awesome! How'd you go about designing those things? I'd have NO clue where to begin...
this is really cool man!! we'll be seeing this on the top row in no time!
These designs are completely bad a**. Very well done!
Oh wow! This are tasty!
hoahjoahao!!! my god!! excelent Weapon!!! perfect!
amazing details and design!!
10 Stars!!!
sweet
Supremely coolness!
absolutly fantastic..
when you say proxy model in maya could you explain how you did that? any chance of a screen grab of your workflow?
thanks man
Beautiful work!
Looks perfect, beautiful gun. :tu:
these are great you should make some spaceships.
Definitely 5 Stars from me. I love the design, the presentation, and the modeling. Me being a texturing guy I Think it was very well done. I looks super clean and out of the box which is probably what you were intending for from the looks of it.
If you were to drop this into a game engine like Unreal or crytek maybe a bit of damage and sense of being used (scratches, scuff marks, dents ect) would be cool to portray a more sense of realism.
But like I said Great work Nick :D
totally beautiful! well executed :tu:
Never seen anything quite like those guns! Excellent work!
I was just looking at these some more... they are positively mesmerizing. I mean, you can find gorgeous details in them all day long! Wonderful to hear they did involve Zbrush in the beginnings of the workflow and rather refreshing to hear that you preferred to render them in Zbrush as well.
You're right, Zbrush does have a cool "look" to its materials and renders that in and of itself is often quite desirable. :tu: :tu:
Now THIS is the kind of thing that belongs in the Top Row.
sweet! would like to buy me one of those cool guns!
top row material!!!
 ! Awesome concepts, models and presentation!!!!!! Cannot stop looking at these pics; so much to see, great shapes... :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: !
excellent work! :tu:
awsome model man! so much to look at! reminds me a lot of vitaly bulgarovs stuff!
keep it up!
these are freakin cool weapon designs! good job! so you didnt use Zbrush to detail?? crazy
wow thank's for such great comments guys !
2 Clintus Maximus thanks a lot
2WailingMonkey u mean this thing?
well the SMG i think have smth in common thanks for yr comment pal!
2 max-tx thank u!
2 jtruthnick well actually if the only thing u you have is a desire to make some cool stuff it's not the bad thing to start with. U can also start with a google search of things u'd like to model study a real life prototypes watch at the other artists work and try to define what you like in their designs and what can be fixed or replaced and reworked...after that it will be much easier for you to imagine what kind of thing can be cool. Well i hope this comment did't sound in some kind of an arrogant mentor's manner. It's just some my personal thoughts
Looks very futuristic and superb done
2 testure hah it's nice to hear that thanks a lot!
2 dustinbrown glad u like it
2 Mahlikus The Black big thanks!
2 Turchik, Vancross, arthurduque thanks a lot guys really appreciate
2 tyrellcorp thanks! here's some stuff for ya
it's the first zbrush models. I've made them using some crappy sketches. I've made some silhouettes in PS before zbrushing don't think it will make any sense to upload them as well cause they are so crappy(lol)
well after that i've imported this models in maya and used them as a guide to build a final hi-detailed geometry
as for maya...the idea is to use "make surface live" option and really quickly build some base models for further detailing
crazy as hell.top stuff
Great design and modeling. I love the overall silhouettes and all the intricate tech shapes within. Very nice!
crazy awesome stuff man, very interested and unique work flow. most ppl bring the concept into zbrush but you bring the concept into maya. great
2 Nattawat_OBBI thank u!
2 lucaswschmidt i like all the sci-fi stuff spaceships included but my next step i think will be a cool guy and the user of this arsenal
2 JarlanPerez thanks pal i glad u like them as for the game engine it's a hipoly stuff of course it's possible to make a lowpoly versions of them but actually the only thing that i've had in mind while working is to make them look cool and convincing. But you are right ofcourse they will look much sexier with the textures
2 Drummer, SixxPixels thank a lot guys!
2 EricShawn yep if u need some animation or complex rendering traditional software like maya and 3dsmax are yr choice but if the problem is just nice presentation of a 3d model zbrush is the best choice
2 rap lol! wee should wait i think a couple of years before we can buy them
2 Etcher,1 soul big thanks guys!
2 gordon-v hah you r right his works are a great source of inspiration for me
2 JohnYip thank u! zbrush was used mostly for the rendering here
Great, great work done here. Love these guns. Awesome design and thanks for sharing Your work path.
I love to see such high poly meshes. And they are done in such a decent topology. Just great.
:tu:
Looks very nice, should be seeing this on the top row any time soon!
2locusta thanks! and no problem
2EvilSmiley thank u
my God thats just un beliveable ur design is so like out if this world it freaken amazing u should render it using unreal engine and i wana be the the first to see it send me more of ur work plzzzzzzzzzzz {ryanxx@live.co.uk} :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
