I figured Dr.Jekyll would make the world's worst driving instructor.
Here's a quick concept.

HAHAHA SO glad to see you here man!. ACE concept. Jekyll kind of reminds me a little of Wreck it Ralph, in a good way.
Really nice touch with the licence plate too.
Can't wait to see more.
This is by far the best idea by now
Thanks for the feedback guys! Wreck it Ralph was a bit of the inspiration along with a lot of John K.
I haven't done any mechanical modelling in zbrush before so I figured this challenge would be a good time to learn. I've been going through David Bently's car design tuts in the zbrush classroom and they are fantastic.
The car is loosely based on a ford fiesta and still needs work but I've been enjoying the process so far. A lot of dynamesh, trim, slice and clip brushes as well as the polish brush. Also used micromesh for the first time for the grill.
Dude that is clean! Nice technical modeling
Wow dude, that style of the car is insane, really digging it!
can't wait to see your Jekyll ;)
Just a quick update on the car, The modelling is pretty much done, except for a little bit of damage protruding from the struts.
So far all zbrush, except for any text, which was done in PS and mapped on using spotlight.
Ha! this idea is awesome! Can't wait to see it in action. Great concept image too!
love the idea. Car looks great. Can't wait to see the whole scene put together, very funny.
Looks AWESOME!
Did you just mask out areas, Delete hidden, and re-dynamesh?
Either way it looks sick as... I am pretty keen for some more please.
Thanks!
For the windows I created a messed up object, set it to be subtractive and merged the window mesh down with it, then hit the sub button in the dynamesh panel. The windows had to be a dynamesh for this to work. The other cuts were just the trim tools.
Here's a quick update, with a page of reference of Spencer Tracy playing Mr. Hyde and the first rough sculpt based on the reference.
Very cool! Great idea and I really like your concept and first sculpt. Can't wait to see this one finished :).
Beautiful stuff.
When sculpting the Hyde expression, did you rough in the facial muscles first, or just use the old photos of Spencer's surface forms? The anatomy you've made is just awesome, even at this early stage.
Thanks guys!
I didn't rough in any muscles first for the face, I just dived in because I want him to be a bit cartoony.
For the arms I will probably draw the anatomy with polypaint over a simple version of the mesh.
