My sculpts
Hi there everyone. My name is Joel Daigle. I'm new here at Zbrush Central, I've browse here a lot but never posted. I've been in the 3D industry for a year with 2 years of schooling and am loving it so far. I am working at a small studio but I'm not doing a lot of sculpting there so I am working on my personal stuff in my spare time.
Here is my latest sculpt (WIP), the concept was done by the talented Greg Brown(http://cornflakebox.blogspot.com/). Please leave some comments, I'd love to hear what you think.

Hi all,
This is a concept sculpt I did in about 6 hours for a short I'm creating. I did a quick Photoshop paint-over. We're going for a pretty cartoony style with some hard edges, leave some comments or critiques....I didn't really touch the feet...:)
Thanks,
-
Cool bro, i like it a lot, specially the last one, really want to see that short when you finish
-
Thanks Belbe, the short is far from done but I'll keep posting our progress here.

Hi,
Here is a muscle study I've been working on in the past week. My anatomy needed improving so i've been drawing, sculpting, studying muscles to help me out. It is still a WIP and I haven't worked on the feet or hands yet but the rest is semi-done. I want to get more flow strokes in there but the forms I'm relatively happy with. The front paint-over was just for myself to identify the major muscles.
Feel free to leave comments, I love feedback
Thanks,
-
The anatomy study is looking really good, looking forward to see the end result
-
Thanks Sparky, I like your Ninja Turtle, nice shell texture.

No Worries JD :)
Cheers thank you :)
What are you using to help with your anatomy study ? I'm thinking of purchasing this http://anatomytools.com/products/anatomy/fig-male3 shipping will be expensive to the UK though :(
-
That would be a really nice reference piece to have, but kinda pricey even without shipping, you could buy half a small Cintiq with that :P I think you could probably use that money on multiple things, like books, tutorials, Life Drawing classes etc....This way i think you'd get a better understanding of how the muscles attach/move. That said, I wouldn't mind having something like that on my desk.
I use "Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist" by Stephen R. PEck ( http://www.amazon.com/Atlas-Human-An...ref=pd_sim_b_2) and when this doesn't have the exact angle I want, I search the specific muscle on Google.

Mr.Walrus
Hi,
So me and my friends have been doing a quick sculpt challenge on Wednesday but this is the first one I'm happy with. The final time was 2 hours and 20 min, made with Dynamesh (I'm loving it! Good Job Pixologic!)

Speedsculpt 02
Hi all, we decided that we all needed extra practice so we bumped our speed sculpt nights to 2 nights a week.
Here is Sunday nights result, i really wasn't happy with what i had at an hour so i took this one to two hours.
I've also been playing around with Zbrush BPR i obviously still have lots to learn.
The original concept can be found at :http://cghub.com/images/view/1380/
C&C are always welcome.

@ themightyflog: Thanks, I'm really enjoying doing these speedsculpts i can see myself improving which is nice.
This is our Wednesday challenge, I'm pretty happy with this one, didn't get to do much with the ears but I did this one in a little more than an hour.
I started this one from a base head I made previously and then went to Dynamesh for the horns and tentacle things.
