Still a work in progress wanted to do a test render, I should say renders combined in PS rendered in ZB. Still al lot more to do on him but at least he has some hair now.

NICE! Its really coming together, the hair is going to kill! You're really doing this bust justice. I'm glad I got to find out about this.
Maybe the white "carmel corn" can be a bit more translucent?
(What the hell am I thinking, posting something critical about something Rick Baker is doing?)
Thats like criticising God because you dislike a butterfly's pattern.. LOL!
this is cool! but just an opinion, it'll look more badass if his mouth is abit longer to the front... with stronger jawbones and stuff. now it looks like a little puppy growling. =] but nice one
Amazing Dorian! Impressive as always!
Always love seeing new work from you. The wolf and rat both came out fantastically, and the Dorian Gray piece is coming along great too. Can't wait!
Pretty sweet,that's one bad kitty!
Worked on him some more today still not finished but getting closer. This is a ZBrush render except for the little insert of the original Dick Smith 1961 version which I am trying to copy. I put that there for those of you, which seems like many of you, who are not familiar with the original. I'm sorry I didn't do that sooner for many reasons but the main one is now that I have them both in the same image I see lots to change. Everything made in ZB ,fibermesh hair .
really nice:) i love the lighting and texture
Lookin super rad Rick!! How much time would you spend on these...on average??
Stunning...you can almost smell that Roma Plastiline clay..
have you shared this with Dick yet?
Dang looking better and better! Brought down the spec I see. I was wondering about that. Ive never see it in real life but I was wondering what that wax would look like in certain lights. Its weird though; Its approaching that better than realism threshold for me (in the sense that Ive only seen grainy photos) and I don't know if I should feel guilty about saying that. Then again I'll probably never see it in real life so its cool seeing this tribute.
The hair looks amazing and the likeness is very close!
You've surpassed the original in some ways already.
(Like the "wet" glossiness on some parts, mising from the original.)
I have to agree with Gareee, it looks hands down way better than the original, neat as it is. The oozing pus(s) is outright revolting in the best ways possible. Honestly the only thing that keeps catching my eye is the lack of shadows on the gums from the lips- though I know, WIP is WIP!
Amazing work!
