absolutely amazing piece of art and craft, your works made me think again and wanting to make some rings for my self:D,as your pipeline in zbrush,do you used alphas or just all details by hand?in one of your past images a bracelet or ring of dragon with scales that i wonder if you put every scales by hand or use alphas?is there specific setting you use for your Brushes?i think must of your details was crafted by layer brush.
very inspiring works indeed.

I used the layer brush a lot but now i tend towards the form brushes.
I didn't even know what projection master was until last year when Paul G wanted to see what my process was and he introduced me to many of the wonderful features of zbrush lmao.... i used to just use brushes and sculpt. I don't use a lot of alphas except for doc grabs so I can reuse sculpted elements. I very rarely get into and change the brushes all i do is screw things up .... I'm a sculpt at high geometry decimate the hell out of it afterward kind of guy. one day I'll learn what a UV is and how i can use it lol.....
thanks for the kind words,
t

Wow Tomas its been a while since I last looked thru here.
I love your new works I keep thinking of Giger when I look at your new stuff :) great to see your style evolve and I might add the new sig you have now is very wonderful. Do you still look in on the matrix forum? haven't seen you in there.
Thanks for taking the time to show us what you do and how you do it.
all the best luck for your new venture.

Hello
A friend told me about Zbrush and enter the site and see your work of jewelry that has surprised me with details you can model.
Congratulations on your work is great!
I wanted to ask: How long does it take to get to do some work so good? besides talent.
a greeting

Amazing!
Your work is simply outstanding! I'm really interested in this process because it really simplifies everything I have been trying to learn. I've been using matrix 6.0 for about 6 months now, and for "normal" jewellery it has done quite well! But the thing i'm really interested in, is jewellery like yours. Really cool intricate designs that are milled or printed and then cast. My program setup has not been kind to me though, exporting the properly sized rings from matrix to zbrush and then back to matrix has not only been a nightmare it's simply just unusable! Modo seems like a good solution though, and I am very interested in learning your work process :)
My questions are:
1. Where did you learn modo? By yourself through tutorials or at a school?
2. I understand how important it is keeping the sizes of jewellery (especially rings) constant throughout the work until it is grown or milled. Can you use modo to keep these sizes just like matrix can? Or do you do all the size adjustments in matrix? matrix has so many nice presets for sizes and ring shapes that it seems a shame not being able to use them :(
I look forward to more updates! I loved the Noh masks.

hey guys thanks as always.....
tweezer- thanks ... honestly I'm so busy I don't get to the forums much. maybe I'll do a photo dump soon. I am on cadcamtrav more often than not.
davito- thank you for the kind words, I've been using zbrush for a few years now, but I've been a sculptor for 25+ years
Hboybowen- Wish I knew what is was that you left....
PandaPropaganda- 1. Both I would say mostly my own but lately I've been picking up some of the tutorials. I have no idea how to render lol in any program. 2. I scale in modo and when I export STL I set the absolute scale in the 3dexporter tool.
yes I will post some new images soon just been busy with the work ;)
