Looking forward to the updates man! :)
You should surely print that on hard stock and have a flip book:tu: I would buy one
OlirO: thanks man! Hope the new stuff'll be good to go in the next week or so!
tez: thanks for checkin' out my worx! Yep, the drawings are all of my hand, ZBrush is the first (and only) program that inspires my to concept and create my own stuff from skratch! Glad u like'em! :)
Captain Sensible: hey Chris, thanks 4 stopping by! Updates should be up soonish ... . :) :tu: .
Dman3d: thanks for the great comment man! Yeah, a book would be so cool... but only 15 pages... guess I better start working! :D !
This s Fantastic stuff Etcher! I like artists who can actually draw, and your drawing is brilliant, as is your imagination. Great stuff! :tu:
Wow very awesome stuff here. This is disney imagination stuff :D. How long have you been drawing for?
slashpot: Thank you Michael! Coming from an accomplished artist like yourself, You just made my day (and my week too) with this awesome comment! Hope to be able to update soon! (and find the time do do some sculpting...)
Sybex: thanks for the great comment! Glad u like! Well, I've been drawing ever since I could first hold a pencil (if that was at age 2, I've been drawing for 37 years now...) but one thing's for sure: Pixologic, anatomytools, Gnomon and Ballistic (in that order)have provided me with so much good info that my skills improved like x1000 in the past year and a half or so. I saw you made your first posts here on ZBC: good start! Stick with ZBC, you won't regret it!
Hey buddy,
I keep coming back to learn as much as I can from you.You really work from the concept.. as it should be done..imo..except in excercise .Your style and skills count for much. Im going to try your methods instead of just plundering away and seeing where I end up.I cant thankyou enough for the insight to your workflow.I am about to go grab my pad and pencil like I used to and start a new fresh idea..I also cant say thankyou enough for your visits to my little thread .
Best wishes and luck to you,
cal
Brilliant but a tad rude.... You are pushing all other entries out of the main row... If you edit the image tags to "ATN" except for the last one, then only that will remain in the main row regardless how many you post.
Cheers
Lemo
hey Etcher. i've glanced through this thread a few times before but i never noticed that the bust was of Dante. it's really nice, i don't know how i didn't realize it was him. i was actually thinking about doing of bust of Dante myself awhile back.
i'm really liking the Axl sculpt. i've saved some of the pages for inspiration/ referance. looking forward to seeing more
Amazing work that I must subscribe to. I love all your anatomy work, its so well done. :tu: I admire your abilities.
Calum5ZB: Hey Cal, thanks for the awesome comment! Glad you like my working method! Be aware of the downside though:too much planning can be detrimental to creativity and artistic looseness: I sometimes have to force myself to just “scribble away” or “plunder” away. Finding a good balance would be nice… . Thanks for stopping by Cal, looking forward to your next!
Lemonnado: apologies!!! :o You will have noticed that it was not intended (since those were only updates of older posts).
Anyways, I’m glad you liked them :tu: .
Yansan: I’ve attached pics of the bust I used as a ref whilst sculpting. I tried to find out who originally made it, but couldn’t.There are many pics of Dante’s head on the internet, but none seemed to match. The closest ones I found are also included in the attachment.
I’m so glad you like the Axl stuff, cause that’s my baby! More to come soon!
Aberrant:Thank you Brian!! Much appreciated! Looking forward to your new stuff! (don’t forget to post your sketches too, cause they are so good)
Etcher you have quite a bit coming together now:tu:
Dman: as you can see: workin' hard on that flip book! Again, thanks for checkin' out my stuff!
So, finally, way to long overdue... an update... . I used the awesome PaintStop to flesh out The Omen. As you will probably see, The PaintStop sketches are going to be a huge help when I'm going to sculpt this character!
ZBrush is the closest thing I know to getting my hands on wet clay,
PaintStop is the closest thing I know to opening my paintbox.
Give it a try girls and boys, but be warned, it's very addictive... .
Really dope looking Etcher! :D
It's darn cool to see you're awesome sketches coming out of paintstop:tu:
Btw, how do you get the sketch pad paper in paintstop for a background like that? :)
Woah, massive study, really impressive. I had a play with PaintStop yesterday, good fun. But you are bringing the use to another level, the charcoaled pages are terrific.
