Ha! That is great! I think you have achieved 'leaf perfection' there. Love the slime trail. Great pic all around. Z ya. 50.

Hi King, that's a very cute little snail. But I'm transfixed by the leaf. Did you model that? How? Amazing. But the snail is very nice.

thanks

the leaf is just the leaf texture used as an Alpha and then made into a 3d object with <Make 3d> in the Alpha pallette.

Next I apply the texture and use the <Deformation> pallete to bend the leaf, then stretch it how you want.

The material depends on your leaf, shinyness etc, but the best enhancement I found was playing with the <Color Bump> to get the details to look 3d.

Hi KingSalami!

i saw your really beautiful work and remembered: I´ve tried to do it in almost the same way some time ago.

I cut a single leaf off my favourite plant (she is still alive! :) ), scanned it. I formed a simple leaf out of a Sphere3D, textured it and exported the textture to make a alpha to use as a bumbmap.
The texture and two of the results:

As I read this, I am starting to itch.
Does anybody have calamine lotion.
Talk about realism.

Great work King Salami and froyd.

I love the psychadelic snail shell.

...and as everyone has already stated, those leaves look very realistic. :tu:
