Hello all,
This image was created in zbrush1.23b and compiled in Photoshop5.5, Nothing too special but I liked the way it turned out.
I've included a raw zscript of my modeling session. It is rather sporadic but I hope It can be used to aid in learning head modeling. Place this file in your zscript folder.
Take care,
Michael
p.s. I usually model with the poles to the north and south... however this time I modeled with the poles to the front and back.

No response?!!! *bewildered* OK!!! I guess this wasn't a good idea huh?! Ouch! *praying that someday he might be accepted* I would like to share, but this reaction sets me back and makes me think twice!!
(not to mention the fact that I have never got a response or comment from any of the "in-crowd"-big name users here!) I'm starting to feel quite alienated here at zbc... To all who have been good to me and accepted me here... Thanks a million!! To the others thanks alot for nothing!

nice cyclops...how are you getting the ears to look so good...? I have been doodling around with some low poly trials today and lurking about...This guy needs some teeth and he would be one snarling bad boy....I used to love the stop animation by Ray Harryhausen via the old Sinbad movies....he made some wonderful creatures including my fav back then, the cyclops....you did this study of the creature good justice...keep up the good work here....I enjoy viewing your images :tu: :tu: :tu:

Thanks Ron!!!
I needed that!
Follow my Zscript to see the ears... I used draw with a setting of 5 to draw the ear shape then I subtracted the hole areas... I then began to push-pull the areas around the ear until it formed into what I wanted.
Takes a while to get it right! Just keep practicing you will get it.
Knew some of you would like it!!! Ray Harryhausen is one of my alltime favorites... Jason and the Argonauts rules!!
Take care,
Michael

Thanks Mr. Braun... I'm glad you like it!
I will continue to share these modeling sessions as long as some people gain something from it.

I'm always puzzled when I read these things where someone posts something, and then complains that nobody is paying attention Mr. P...I've had things I posted that I thought were pretty cool, but left people cold...Well, that's the way it goes sometimes! ;)
Why are you frustrated? If you're 'sharing', then you shouldn't demand response...A major tenet of Bhuddism is that you should accept praise and blame equally. Relax...If you enjoy the work, that's the reward.
Most people don't respond to everything here, and shouldn't be expected to. If I personally have something to say, in response to an image, then I say it...If I don't have anything to say, I don't reply.
It seems rediculous to put yourself through this frustration you speak of, but it is your expectations that are causing the frustration.
Relax, practise, enjoy your work, and don't worry about what people say about it, pro or con, and don't put so much heat on everything you do, Dude... :)
Nice one PusGhetty.
I like those Sinbad movies too, plenty of cool monsters. :tu: :tu: :tu:

Thanks Grub I appreciate it!
Michael,
My apologies if I offended you or any one else, I am clearly frustrated... I had not gotten any responses and just assumed that most here felt my work is not worthy of a zscript. It was only after I complained that I actually got a response!
I have asked questions of quite a few members here that have never answered or even responded for that matter! It would be nice to have some professional Zbrushers to give me some advice! That is what makes me feel alienated. I might add that you have never made me feel alienated...
I don't know much about buddhism but I appreciate the positive statement anyway! Thanks!

Nice modeling PushGhetty. Don't get upset over the responses. Sometimes I miss an image because it's no longer in the image bar. Somtimes like Stonecutter says I don't have anything to say about an image. Also consider that we are not at the computer all the time and there is a time difference between the place you live and where other users are. This newsgroup is very friendly in that it praises the efforts of even the most inexperienced of the users. And by looking at your model one can see that you have great potential. So just keep working and improving and you'll get lot's more responses.

Pusghetty...
I look at your work and work of others....I don't often reply because I haven't the time, or I'm most likely on another mission.
Incidentally I do like your work.
As for answers......I couldn't care less..although it is nice to receive at least one....I post all sorts of garbage and receive few replies...I enjoy the giving, and if people think it's rubbish....who cares. Stonecutter is right. All that matters to me is the fun of it all.
Thanks for sharing this tool.
The modelling is quite good in my eyes and the pic is very decent too - keep up the good work.
nice pic.
no need to apologies ive been in the same boat.
it can be very fusterating on a Non reply post thats why i come here i would like feed back it all so makes you feal welcome but when your post gets ZERO it makes you feal like holding your head Low and walk away.
what we have allmost what 3000 members and can't get a reply?
i know most are not actived.
i try and make my rounds to people much as i can but some times ill even forget to reply to my own post that people were replying to me but its not out of dis respect my browser messed up and my post show up as no one replying.
there nothing worst then a non reply out of all these memebers and another thing is some people expected people reply to them but they don't have time to reply to anyone else to me thats lack of particpating if you have time to spend to make a pic that might of took you 4 hours the person should take a few miniutes out of there time to go particpate and not be one way about it,
a non reply post would just be like writing a e.mail to your self WOOPIE!!!
a bulliton board is were people get togeather...
Nice model, and I really appreciate the script!
As far as the initial lack of replies goes, I think you're just hitting the "pre-update withdrawl" immediately before 1.5 is released: at least in my case, when I come to the forum it's tough to focus on anything else!
For some reason I also keep opening the "ANNOUNCEMENT: ZBrush 1.5 on Monday, August 26" thread. Maybe I'm hoping for a secret announcement of its premature release or something, I dunno...
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to post your script - they always help me a lot!
