View Full Version : same little trick for lazzy...
Hello! I add more explanations:draw any form in white on black, say a sword, import as an alpha, make 3d with max resolution and 0 depth, mask the riser , deflat the rest, inverse the mask, inflat, voilà you have the sword..As 1st "little trick" you make as manay renders as materials, here in the example '4,and supperpose in psp.choose and cut in the layers,; http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1032169887sjt.jpg
so, in the example, I have a "yellow" sword, and a "blue"one; new layer, draw the "flower" like shape you see on the cutting part of the sword, get the selection on the yellow and delete, put the selection on the blue, inverse, delete, and you have the drawing engraved...for example on a face, you can by this way have very complicated tatoolike of metal or so on... http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1032170161oms.jpg
I suppose it's possible to post the 3 pict in one post, but i don't know how   http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1032170249rih.jpg

Hello Marcel

Re Hello Marcel :)
For the engravure an another method is the "Stencil".
1 drawing the tatoo form, Grabb it
2 so that's make Alpha and texture in the same time
3 go to Alpha Tool oer Floatting Palette for make stencil
4 take the 3D object
5 Edit mode (T)
6 with the "space key" move, rotate, resize the "tatoo stencil" as you want
7 engrave up(Alt key) or down with mouse or pen on moving the "red Edit cursor".
The avantage is the exact placement of the tatoo and the possibility to resize it.
You obtain a "real" model3D with embosses.
It's the theory ! But in practicle you must divide your model and the result seems a little coarse :( see http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=008003
For the "apparence" :) of a "real" 3D object You must prefer Texture Master ! Ouf :)
If I have all understand :)
