Just wondering how long it will take to happen- a zbrush style app for a smart phone. While we are on the subject- any serious 3D package for a smart phone. I've seen a few sad ones put out, but nothing that has been produced by a solid 3D software company. Feel free to give me all your comments, rumors, or even alternative recommendations (tablet PCs, etc...) that you think are worth while.

Thank you in advance
Craig

A zbrush application would be a great app for a phone. I'm sure it would be better if installed with an iPad. I mean the larger screen the better. ;) I hope they are already designing this app.

Promo showing iDevCam which is an upcoming app that allows you to control the camera in 3ds Max with your iPhone, iPod or iPad.

I too look forward to the day I can sculpt with *dozens* of polygons on a tiny screen.

Here are a couple of sculpting apps inspired by ZBrush and Sculptris for iPhone, they are a long way off ZBrush but are fun never the less : SculptPad for iPhone : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sculptpad/id437783785?mt=8 and for iPad SulptPad HD : http://itunes.apple.com/app/sculptpad-hd/id443147514
Enjoy

I dont need a sculpting app on my phone..yet. Would it be nice when I'm away from my rig at home? Probably. But the horsepower is still a year or two off I'd say.

But what I DO need is a Turntable app. I want a quick solution like the interactive turntable gallery on pixologic.com, but on my iphone. Slap a .99$ price tag on that bad boy and I bet they sell like hot-cakes. I'd be willing to pay $4.99 even. Just something to show off a completed turntable to clients or my boss on the fly, mid conversation. Finger interaction on a turntable would be sooooo appreciated and I feel like someone could code this in a day!

Anyone agree?

Think of a high-res turntable spinning on your iPad at the flick of a finger....I've already seen digital painters use an iPad as sort of a traveling Portfolio and I love the idea for zbrush artists!

There's no facility to export as yet but the application is pretty neat to work with
