I was experimenting with making backgrounds and was playing with the Alpha brushes when I achieved some interesting results.
1) Fill canvas with black color
2) Select Alpha Brush
3) Select DragRect Stroke
4) Select an Alpha and color
5) Turn Off Zadd
6) Drag Alpha on canvas

the circles in the left corner look like lens-flare-effects...very interesting !

Thanks for this new tip, visionary... :)

You forgot to say that Flat Renderer has to be turned on, else nothing will appear.

I can just see this technique being used to make excellent ripples in water... once i figure out what an alpha is...
