Hi everyone, I'm trying to make a can of pop. What would be the best way to map this onto a can? My thoughts were to mark the parameters on the can, then export the map, past it on and reapply. I'm not sure how to do it in TM. Thanks for any suggestions.

As far as how I made this: The cap is a circle object, I masked the top and pulled the edges down with high radial count.

I used two light settings. I rendered the cap with everything else hidden, baked it, then rendered the other layers with a second light setup for the reflections and transparancy. The fluid is a sphere 3d pulled and modeled. :) Z ya. 50.

Hi Kid of 50
Take a look at the Tut Texture Master 'show &tell' inside the prog, chap "the Pix Apple" :)
Pixo has made that you want :)
Cool bottle
Or maybe more simple apply your text on a Circle 3D and retake the result on your cap :)

?!

As to mapping the can... sounds like you've got a plan that would work.

Hi, pilou, thanks, but I want to put the picture on the side of the can cylinder. But you gave me the idea to make a bottle, too, and I could do that to the cap. Thanks. :) 50.

Svengali,....you just happened to have that picture? :D Maybe I'll do a billboard, too. :) Thanks, I'll give it a try. I have a nice Saturday project. I'll post the results later. Thanks, guys. Z ya. 50.

Hi Five Oh,

Yeah! It's such a strong image that I remembered taking the picture last September. I was with a crew taking a boat down from Seattle to San Francisco and second day out we got caught by some rough weather so ended up spending three days moored in Coos Bay, Oregon. The photo shows the glamourous view from the dock.

I suppose that exploding coke bottle must be one of Coca Cola's standard images - you do it justice in your version!

Hi Kid
For a cylinder it's exactly the same !
Just grabb more big on the right & left, up & down !
Auto crop Off again !
Draw the cylinder ! Very easy indeed :)

Ps I can't import so it's just conceptual :)

hey 50,

you should be able to just apply the texture to your modified shpereinder. this was scaled in Y. initialize t radius 0 t curve 0. mask across the top invert and deflate.
then i just imported your texture.
i added the grey at the top and bottom in texture master
the material is #15 with add reflectivity.

Hi Svengali, thanks. Very glorious view indeed! Looks like Coke is really BIG in the Bay Area :)

Hi Pilou, thanks. I think that may be simpler than what I had in mind. Thanks for the Pepsi link, I thought about doing it Pepsi, but my Sister is a Coke drinker and I'm going to send her the finished pic. :)

Hi Tjaden, thanks to you, too. You also have and easier idea. I guess I'm just thinking too hard. Thanks to all of your responses. I'll try to work it out today. Gotta get out of the house for awhile. Z ya all, 50.
