Sometimes at night, the volcano puts on a display which could rival any 4th. of July fireworks. This is how I remember it.
I am sorry for this bombardment of volcano images, but I have to get it out of my system, this cycle will soon pass please bear with me a while.

thats a beautiful though doubtlessly frightening color-palette nature is making use of! keep the lava flowing and ash raining, DeeVee, thats very interesting - and beautiful to watch!

This image gives an idea of what the landscape looks like. The trees look like and are vertical charcoal, just completely burnt through. Those folks who still use coals to cook find this an important resource when they are allowed to go into the restricted Zone to collect it.
It is amazing how Jaundel created a landscape which is a good representation of what the area looks like without seeing it.
Or have you been doing out of body traveling again JuJu?

Very evocative image, Joe - I thought we could expect some of these. :tu: ;) :tu:

BTW I'm glad you said "bombardment of volcano images" - I don't know how, but this is the first of yours I've seen. Off to look for more now...

That 'carbonised' tree image of yours is really fine, Joe... :tu:

The distance effect you got in it drew my eye into it in a way that always indicates great composition, when I see it...This is some fine work, and having viewed volcanoes in both Hawaii and Colombia, I know just how accurate you are in these...

Thank you for the views of the 'dark side' of nature, and as far as I'm concerned you can post these images until the cows come home, and I won't mind a bit...(And I suspect nobody else will either!)

:) :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :)

Thanks SC your comments are always greatly appreciated. There are a few more I would like to do, in between a few more pleasant images.
DeeVee,
Joe.
