Jamacsween (sounds pretty Scottish to me),
Great job. Love the details on the ears and the teeth. Keep up the good work.

Wow! That guy could pick his nose with a broom handle! :)
Not that I would tell him, you definitely captured the image a mean mother, I can't wait to see him testured.

hmmm well kinda difficult to make any useful comments from my end at this stage....play with you materials and light settings...I would use pastel tones and the spray stroke when painting him up and play around with your alphas/brushes ...lots of pores and wrinkles I see in my minds eye on the finished product. If you are wanting it to have that catlike appearance...use a closeup of a cat's face to further enhance the modeling and also to use as a guide when painting. You are off to a good start though. When you get ready to do the eyes check out Pixolators eye tutorial in the Quicklinks section. :tu:  :tu:

Wow,
Thanks for all the replies guys.
Brian Healy: Yep, From the Western Isles in Scotland so about as scottish as you can get. Any further west and its "hello canada" and thanks for the feedback.
Frenchy Pilou: Thanks. Will add tartan detail later!!!
lovecrafty: Thanks. Working on texturing at the moment and using as a learning experience. Heres an update below. trying to capture a tired skin look for the skull. Concept is that this guy will practically live in his armour and so skin on scalp will be mottled and jaundiced.
null (http://null) http://www.naval-architecture.co.uk/graphics/art_temp/tex_02.jpg
For those interested, after trial and error, I got this look by:
1. Base layer of dark skin colour.
2. Mottled light colour to represnt skin damage/dirt.
3. colour RGB 66,77,104 (dark blue) and brush 8 (large size) RGB intensity 3 and fade on in projection master, drop/pickup and rotate skull and gently add hint of viens under tissue. (Tablet is great for this)
4. As 3. above but with RGB 222,202,118 ("manky yellow" ).
Ron Harris: Thank Ron, I will take that advise on board.
Appreciate all coments guys (and gals)

Hi,
Heres a small update. Adding detail around the eye and some small bruising. Concept developing into an image after battle showing old and new wounds.
Interested to hear comments,

Thanks for your post. Been trying to really avoid the orcish creature tag but I guess I failed. Difficult since LOTR seems forefront in everyones mind right now.
Will think about the feline roots and see if it can be changed.
Thanks again.
