I think we need a thread to share our stuff just like in the old forum. So if anyone wants a horse to play with, here it is. Have fun!

That's a great model! I'm certainly gonna download it. Why is there's so little response to this thread? I'm baffled. Thanks again.:tu:

No idea, maybe it got overlooked in the flood of awesome creativity. I love how everybody does unique and creative things. :)

Glad you like the horse!

I hope this site gets bigger.
I also hope to contribute to this site as well.
But my first try in Scultris is something that everyone sees here a lot, so I felt no one would be interested in a demon head, realive simple and quick base model.

Teria, where have you gone? I think this thread needs reviving.

FatherChristmas

I agree. Out of all the things shareable(materials, textures, etc), models would be an amazing resource.
Whether people think they are good/useful or not, post them up. Someone might be able to improve what you think is unworthy.
I'll be posting some here soon.

Teria
09-06-10, 09:12 AM
Revive it, then. :D

I'm still here but I got sucked in (again) by World of Warcraft, so I didn't get to sculpt much. Still meandering through all these threads, though. Awesome stuff, all of you! :tu:

Thanks for the horse. Looks good.
I'll contribute a stylized female base mesh. The proportions are not heroic, but rather based on my style of drawing.

Great to see you on the Forum again ,Teria. WoW! Tell me about it. I got addicted a year or two ago, couldn't sleep, spent hours grinding with my Mage. Started to feel unwell. Thankfully, I managed to kick the habit and won't be going back there again.

I would like to share my Brother model with everyone, but unfortunately we can only upload 500KB files. I would use a public upload site, but they're all blocked on this network. Guess I'll have to wait until I have personal internet again.

Nice one Nemo!

FatherChristmas
09-13-10, 09:05 AM
Let's see if this works. In order to download my model you will need to use WinRAR or 7Zip(free). It's split into 3 files with WinRAR.
A preview: Sculptris 2010-09-10 00-27-17-28.jpg (http://javascript%3Cb%3E%3C/b%3E:zb_insimg%28%27215759%27,%27Sculptris%202010-09-10%2000-27-17-28.jpg%27,1,0%29)

This is my first completed model. Enjoy guys.

edit: Ah hell. Didn't work. The forums don't allow RAR files. This is ridiculous. You can do the same amount of damage with a Zip file as you can a RAR.

FatherChristmas

You can import OBJ files into Sculptris, would this not work correctly?

Heist

just import the obj model into the program.

FatherChristmas

Here is a plane I made. It's rocky, flat on the edges to make it look cleaner. It's by no means a masterpiece but it may be a useful prop plane for someones models.

FatherChristmas
09-22-10, 03:57 AM
Here's another one. I'm just messing around with planes lately. Maybe someone will get some use out of one of these. This one has 2 spots flattened out for a models feet. These planes are by no means complete solutions, but they're good for adding a basic plane that looks better than the default one.

FatherChristmas
09-22-10, 04:25 AM
Here's the beginnings of a room with a floor plane that has some depth to it. Nothing special here, just a good place to start.

Here's a five fingered\toed figure base mesh for anyone to use to start off a figure sculpture. Note: I've included both an obj and an sc1 format. P.S. It's advisable to open the sc1 file from Sculptris as trying to open it from the file itself appears to be very buggy. (Sculptris is going to be brilliant when it's finished) Have fun. Cheers. I just got started with Sculptris and I wante to share my models with the community. I do a bit of 2D drawing and animation, but 3D is a whole new game to me. I tried Blender in the past, but found it too complicated. Sculptris is right up my alley, since I work with clay as a hobby. I'm uploading my doberman and wolf models, as well as som shots of my painted dobie. Enjoy! ;)

Hi again, here's some screens of the wolf I made, and the painted dobie. It seems the center of the model is hard to manipulate since it is near the symmetry line, so the hair on the back ridge didn't come out the way I wanted. Oh well. Hope you like them.

Hello, I'm new to sculptris but not to 3d modeling, been doing it as a hobbie for almost 10 years now. While I wouldn't consider myself an expert I'd rather let my work for me. Now a days at least for me is hard to get inspired to do stuff since I love horror more than any other genre and there's very little out there that's original and it's tough to think about new stuff. Anywho, here's what I'm modeling, partially it's inspired by the final creature from the 80's movie, "The Gate", which is about 2 kids who unwittingly summon demonic forces to the world thru spellcasting and demonic rituals. I recommend it, if anything to see a very young Stephen Dorrf (Blade the movie, played chief vampire). Anyways, looking forward to hearing from people here and for any new versions of sculptris.

My first attempt using Sculptris or any other 3d software, I know it's still kind of rough and the hands and feet need a little work but I'm new to 3d sculpting so bare with me. I created a base mesh (a male & female version) that I used for the Wolverine piece I hope that someone could put them to good use. I sculpted the Wolverine in Sculptris and exprted it to Zbrush to see the comparison

Very first model created in Zbrush. The panting is still rough around the edges, since this model isn't necessarily complete yet. I was wondering if it would be possible to make an emission and/or reflection map onto the bulbs, but I have no clue how if it's even possible.

Hi All,

Here something I am working on for a popular science magazine: an octopus. The idea is to make a cutaway where you can see its intestines. The illustration will take a whole spread (the series is called "centerfold" ;)) so I had the idea to let the octopus embrace the edges of the spread as if the spread is a glass the octopus is placed on. The ends of its arms are then on this side of the glass, the body on the other site.

I did the base in ZBrush with Zspheres and then exported it to do the suction cups. I also wanted to do the skin texture in Sculptris, but I keep bumping into the limits of Sculptris, about 26 mb is the maximum size for a mesh, at least on my pc. So I will do that in ZBrush. Same with the eyes, texture and color, those I will ad in ZBrush.

I really love Sculptris being able to work out such a detailed model!

276806276807

The sculptris model is still really messy, so I will post the ZBrush Zsphere model: miekeroth.eu/ZBrush/octopus1.ZTL (http://miekeroth.eu/ZBrush/octopus1.ZTL)

I painted the area with the mask brush and pushed in that selection with the reverse draw brush. For the teeth I masked single dots around the gums and then pulled those bits out with the grab tool.

thanks for the feedback. More to come soon.

I don't know I'm nit very technologically savvy. This is a very good computer though, and I'm new to digital sculpting programs. I downloaded Sculptris Alpha 6 the other day. That is what all of these are for, right?

It had a problem opening "SC1" or ".SC1" files and referred me to the Web.... idk. Can anyone help me out?

Here's my new give-away. (http://www.ShareCG.com/v/58938/view/5/3D-Model/Globe-Bearer) Have fun, it's not much but modeling wasn't the aim of this project (not that I'm any good at it either).

I painted the area with the mask brush and pushed in that selection with the reverse draw brush. For the teeth I masked single dots around the gums and then pulled those bits out with the grab tool.

thanks for the feedback. More to come soon.

I never would have thought of that..... Thanks!

It's not mine, but most of these probabley won't work anymore, most of the file-sharing services stopped after the FBI raided Megaupload. I believe most of these hosted on similar sites ....... oh well.....

Converted a couple of my favorite base meshes from mudbox to tris for use in sculptris. I think they make a nice starting point.

Greetings,

I am not a 3D modeller but am very impressed with much of the work posted here. I am working on a 'archeological' installation and need a profile of a head for a 'ancient roman coin', that will be rapid prototyped with a view to casting actual copper coins. Can anyone help me with this project. I have a can provide a small honorarium for work that is accepted.
Cheers,

henry

I've been using sculptris for a couple of months now. I was surprised how quickly I was able to figure out the tools. Here are a couple of images what I've been doing.

I am improve with each figure I sculpt. The interface is so versatile I just load my proto images into the back ground and transfer the proportions as I sculpt. The best part is I no longer need a magnifying lens to get the kind of detail I want.
I just really appreciate having this tool

Very nice but remember everyone, this thread is not for showing off your creations but to offer the models for download so others can use them.

I've repaired the link to the horse download since apparently some people do want to work with it. :)

Create your own thread to show off your works, and just respect the topics of other threads.

Yes, I agree. that is why I said I won't post here any more,,, I meant this topic. I didn't see any downloads the first time I posted, so I thought that it was just images. Now that I know differently, I will respect this topic and not post in there anymore.
