Hi everybody,

I am currently working on a horse. It's not finished yet but I thought I'd show it here. Hope you like it.

I'm planning to clean the mesh later so the horse can be rigged and animated in Blender.

looking great!

Aaand it's finished. I had some painting problems cause the paint brush works quite erratically - I have no idea why it does that or how to work around it. It seems to have to do with the wireframe but I don't want to subdivide ad infinitum just to have evenly spaced tris.

Adding a man. Done without reference, so the proportions suck a bit.

This is the female main char from a novel I'm writing. In fact, I should be writing instead of sculpting... but it's so addictive!!!

The horse looks great with the texturing, Teria, and the female is coming up very nice too :)
And oh how come I know about Sculptris and addictive...lol

And here she's finished. Mostly. Again, done without references. If anyone has any corrections, I'd be happy to hear them.

I love painting... I have this as my new desktop now. :D I know it's a bit (very very very) dark but I hope you can still see it.

I can barely see it, could you brighten it a bit just for show?

Teria

Hm, I tried but the effect got ruined. I'll show the working file without the colouring, ok? :)

Nice face, i just noticed the womans face too which is well done. good work, though the camera angle in this pic is a bit odd.

i hope my suggestion didn't make you mess up your work! :o

Teria

Don't worry, I usually have 10+ different versions of my works. :D

About the angle: I wanted to play with shadows and black paint instead of showing the full face.

Glad you like the woman, too! :)

Teria

An asian woman. I have no idea how to paint the eyes, so I'm going to cheat around in Photoshop. I like the skin, though. :D

Looks great Teria !
specially the Horse and the leaning woman ... :)
may I ask how did you extruded the horse's legs ?
maybe "Grab Tool" ?

Teria
08-13-10, 04:49 AM
Yes, I first used Draw and then Grab with few details so as not to overload the legs with tris. I dragged them to their approximate length and then started sculpting the form.

Yes, I first used Draw and then Grab with few details ...thanks for the hint Teria !

Aaaand another woman. This time I used Monica Bellucci as a reference, so even though there's not much of a likeness, at least I got the proportions right this time. :D

And yes, the hair sucks. Needs some more (= MUCH) work.

F i L
08-13-10, 01:46 PM
very nice :tu: i like this one the best, hope you plan on giving her some color ;)
good choice on reference, btw. Monica Bellucci is fine.

I especially like the skin tone and texture of the asian women, and the glossy lips. Please finish her eyes so she can admire herself! :)

Thank you! :D

I'm going to finish the other works but first, I did a few commission pieces for fellow world builders friends. The animals are supposed to look like that, so don't worry. :D

Teria
08-29-10, 04:20 AM
Well, I'm a world builder, so I have several weird creatures with weird names. :D If you want to have a look, check this page: My creatures (http://www.astridvollenbruch.de/Araun/Dateien/Tiere.html). It's in German but some of the creatures should be recognizable as weird. :D
