Well thanks to Kruzr's reply to gebe's 'recording problem' post, I know why my Zscripts weren't working. I use the zoom extensively when working in Zbrush. So in response to LWTB and Dr.JJwow, I could only show a small part of a modeling session but hopefully you will be able to get the jist. The terrain3D tool was used in a low resolution (8x8)because it would be the most applicable to a sphere.
I hope it helps. (actually...I just hope it works.)

Hey J, it works fine! As a gemstone carver, I tend to appreciate the 'Magic Clay' version of approach to Z, and it was fascinating to watch the 'Mesh and Polygon' approach as well...And you taught me some very interesting techniques!

Wonderful script, entertaining as well as useful, and a beautiful result!

I have to say Jelee, hat though this is a comparitavly simple script, it is one of the best I've seen! I've learned from so small a thing quite a bit that will help my modeling no end! Thank you! :)

Thanks for checking out the zscript Stonecutter, dr. jjwow and Muvlo.
I'm glad you were able to find parts of it useful.

This is one of those deceptively brilliant scripts that change the way one sees ZBrush, forever.

Suddenly the fog clears a little more.

I nominate this for the ZScript hall of fame.

This is one script that I can't wait to play! Your eye is remarkable to look at, and it's going to be a pleasure to learn your technique. Thank you!

Hey guys, thanks for the replys and seeing the script for what it is. It's not so much about how to model the eye per se (Poser kind of makes modeling body parts obsolete) as it hopefully is to show how you could possibly block out the form of a model with a low resolution mesh and refine it as you progress. Some times when you grab a vertice, it can have an influence on surrounding vertices so you have to sometimes give it a "shake" to loosen it just to move the one. It's not the prettiest process but sometimes it yields results.
happy Zmodeling.

(p.s. If you can find KenB's common tools zscript, it has a feature where you move lighting around your model. I think it is the D key that is pressed and wherever your cursor is, it drops a light. This is helpful in seeing if you have any kinks in you modeling mesh that need to be smoothed.
Very useful.)

Beautiful eye model. Thank you for sharing. I often start with a low poly object and add detail as needed. It really makes you think about the forms you are trying to replicate.

Hey Ken, thanks for dropping in. The 'common tools' zscript really does improve modeling workflow in Zbrush. I appreciate the thought and time that went into it.

Thanks DM, hope you enjoy playing the script.

the script IS incredible, Jelee. and don't ever get complacent about the usefulness of Poser(YUCK)TM models. keep on making your own. Zbrush is much too valuable a tool to be wasted with ready-made, identical, featureless meshes. a mesh has got a soul and can be creatively modelled. it is an art.
