animation library

hello,
in nearly all 3d softwares, you can modele and then animate.
Not easy to animate all these walking and running and so on.

are there libraries for these kind of animations just to adapt or modify ??
for maya poser .. ????

Look for motion capture libraries. It's the .BVH format which is quite popular. They contain moves which can be attached to a model's rig and then that reproduces that movement. You can also edit those files. Look at the program 'Motion Builder'. However, without putting work into it, it usually looks pretty robotic... Nothing beats well designed hand made animation.
