Got a little of that LOTR inspiration last night and made a LW Fell beast thats thrown off his Nazgul. I used the White Dwarf version of the Fell Beast as a reference for this one.
I modeled a low poly (well, low for me anyway lol) Beast in Lightwave and got him to fly over to ZB for a little (or a lot) of that ZB magic.....lots of goodies used for this beastie.

overall its very good. the only thing that bothers me is the crotch area. notice that smooth curvy transition from the leg.. over the crotch .. and to the other leg?

Texturing and bump are to die for.
OMG...are you gonna bone and animate it?
OH PLEASE! *jumps up and down*
Thank you for this and for filling the well of inspiration...This rocks!
Looking good! If I had any say in Weta, I'd get 'em to snap you up yesterday! ;)You say it's flying? Let's see the anim!

Flying hmmm!
Sorry Ken.....it was a metafor for 'Still editable in my favorite program even though it has a gazillion polygons :)
Not actually got this baby rigged yet I'm afraid.
Glen
Oh right! :)
I think he'd animate well actually. How'd you make the low poly in LW?

if he says box modeling..I am going to throw up everywhere..lol.
Don't you with ZB would support n-gon and a few good standard 3D modeling toos (Knive, bevel,..etc.). Whats the texture size on that baby..4096?

Really like the design of this creature... it's got a long neck and a small head, like a diplodocus, and the legs look cool too. Awesome work!
