how? I used to know how to... but now all I can do is flip and flip... Its been too long since I really used zbrush combined with the newness of zb2... Its really freaking me out trying to figure out the old methods again... searching for this I found nothing... sorry or I wouldn't have posted.
how do I grab a texture and position it on an object exactly how I want it?

One way- with Z2 is to run the DecoBrush zscript that comes with it and when it gets to the lizard like model it adds texture to the model and goess through placement of it.
I have not done it yet.

don't quote me cuz I don't have z on in front of me to check myself.....
in pm use a plane tool with texture on and drag stroke......draw the plane with texture over your dropped model then you can place it, size it etc where ya want it....when in place then pick it up.

Use the drag stroke to draw it on the canvas..the enter rotate mode and when the gyro pops up..go to town

Good luck

thank you all very much.
I also discovered that you can use the directional brush with drag dot stroke to rotate alphas as they're applied. Was driving me nuts. :)
