'Morning all . . . :(

Is anyone else getting a lot of crashes with the new version???

I've had several crashes with version 1.23 since installing it. Just this morning it's crashed 3 times already. I didn't copy the error message, so I can't post it, but it's becoming somewhat irritating. There's no rhyme nor reason for the crashes, I've been doing completely different things in ZBrush during the crashes, so I can't pinpoint or duplicate the problem?

Anyway, if anyone else is having this problem, would you please let me know? I'd like to know if I'm the only one experiencing this?

Thanks in advance & have a good one . . . Mark.

I'm getting a 1.23 changing it's capabilities since installing....Initially I had some problems with spheres blacking out when I hit "T" edit--but those were quickly overcome----NOW HERE'S one that really baffles me--I go into 1.23--and there is no-automatic ZScript recording notice as there once was (that's OK by me) BUT that indicates to me something has CHANGED--like going to document and modifiers and DOUBLE screen size and I get a notice that says this has been disabled in this model of ZBrush-no modifying size in anyway is allowed-WELL THAT IS NEW--because it had already worked perfectly for resizing Numerous times --so I have a HAL 9000 in my "Puter that has changed what it will and CAN do from the day of installation--ANYONE getting that problem???? --I also think it has disallowed one other normal operation as well but --I didn't test it more than once --so for now I'll just ask..anyone got a fickle-changing it's mind 1.23 ???

Hi robotalk --I'm getting --wait I'm robotalk---O/K--on further check I now cant import textures or files (and could before) and cant load---say--umm-- apple material--or anything in the load (ing zone)metal wrapper etc.-It seems something is mental with mine after such a nice trial period --a sudden change...now it's like a completely different zbrush had moved in and twilight zoned away my well behaved 1.23--None of these probs exist with my (havent deleted yet)remaining 1.13--whazza?? I say Whazza??????

Hi,
Kruzr and ed_the_atom: It would be very helpful if you can reproduce the problem and email me with the steps that will cause this problem to surface. This would be a sure way for me to check whether this problem is internal to ZBrush or a system/hardware configuration problem. Even if you do not run another application while running ZBrush, you (and ZBrush) are still using the operating system services and if such services are not consistent across systems, they may cause an unpredictable behavior.

Robotalk: What you are experiencing is a result of the ZBrush executable and the ZBrush resource file being relocated manually to a different directory. This usually happens when moving the ZBrush executable file from a new/old ZBrush folder into another ZBrush folder. In order for ZBrush to operate properly, you MUST have the original (v1.23) ZBrush executable and the original resource file both placed within the same folder (directory). If you are not sure which, is which, you simply need to re-expand the original(v1.23) downloaded file and within the newly created ZBrush folder, you’ll find the ZBrush.exe and the ZRescv123.ZRS files. These files should be moved to your current ZBrush folder (overwriting the old executable and resource file if needed). The above method is for a Windows based systems only; on Macintosh system there is only one ZBrush executable file, which already contains all needed resources.
