Hello!...I have questions ,and help, if somebody has time to do it,will be very welcome!first, is it a way to have, doing 3d tool from an alpha, sharp edges? 2nd, is it possible to use aurick's color quick with YText.Master? It seems that each time I load Aurick's utilitie, I loss T. Master... and last, is it a way to apply selectively an alpha: I mean, not using alp button, but like a stencil, then using as an alpha, inflate and so on??? Thanks VERY much if you have an advice... http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1032096874lmd.jpg

Hi marcel!

Here we go:

1) The edge sharpness will be directly related to two things: First, how crisp the edges of the alpha are. If the alpha is made up of just 255,255,255 and 0,0,0 (pure white and pure black), you will get sharper edges to your object than if the alpha has some trasitional shades of grey. Second, the higher you set the mesh resolution, the sharper the edges will be able to be. But of course, the more resource-intensive it will be, too!

2) Open your TextureMaster ZScript in a text editor. Scroll to the very end of it and type: <zscriptinsert,"ColorQuick.txt">. Save the file. Next, copy the contents of the ColorQuick folder into the TextureMaster folder. Now when you load the TextureMaster, the ColorQuick script will be inserted underneath so that you can access it while you work. However, I have not tested this, and you may have some problems since I based ColorQuick on the color mixer that is already built into TextureMaster. I believe that some of the variables share the same name. This may result in conflicts, or it may simply result in TextureMaster's color mixer mirroring what you do on the left side of ColorQuick. If you don't like the results, you'll need to delete the insert command back out of TextureMaster and just use the TextureMaster's mix capabilities. Or if you're really brave, you can rename the variables in ColorQuick.

:) thank you Aurick... I hope your tip on color quick is going to work(too late in france to try now!) because it's very useful!Sometimes, in making 3d tool from alpha, the form is "compressed", I don't understand why, re initialize Zbrush and it's OK... Maybe you have an idea??? :p http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1032126923ofh.jpg
