hi there,

wouldn't it be possible to have something like a "morph" from a photograph to a 3d model.

like pulling off the expression of a face with guideline(polylines?) and transfer the information to you mesh - guidelines provided.

eg: like a 2 circular poly sfor the eyes, lines for grooves and muscle features around the mouth, mouth and liplines, nose position and point. zbrush seems to recognize position in 3d-space and could transfer this rig to my 3d-model.

i wish for something like a gallery of maybe 20+ faces i like my model to look like - and transfer their expressions and distinct features to my model. i don't mean to be lazy or stop modelling faces - but technology powers such thinking and latest developments for the next version of zbrush encourage me to request (or hint) that idea.

how about it? any thought on this - even if i stamp myself as lazy-bastard ;-)

cheers (and thanks for taking your time and reading this...)

...and with commercial face recognition algorithms it should be possible to fully automate this process, too!

hmmm, maybe not the right time to ask for something like this?!

if a thread like this gets too much attention (don't know if this is even worth a thought...) - maybe our precious z4 release will be pushed a little bit more, right?! come on!

harharhar!!!!!
