View Full Version : Texturing Poser Clothing
This has probably been answered before, but I couldn't find it in the quicklinks. If I import a poser obj into ZBrush and paint on it without adding or altering the existing mesh and then export it back out, if I copy the original Cr2 and point it to the new obj file that ZBrush exported, will I still be able to pose it? And if I wanted to use a material, I know you have to bake a layer, but how do you bake the texture that's on the model. Or can't you do this? Thanks.

You don't need to alter the CR2 if all you're doing is texturing. You can import the model, texture it, flip the texture vertically and then export that back out of ZBrush. In Poser, use the Material menu to assign the new texture to the model. That's it!
To bake a texture's shaded colors, you need to unwrap the texture. Resize a blank canvas to match the texture size. Press Ctrl+F to fill the layer with the current material and your texture (along with any other materials that you've incorporated into the texture through TextureMaster). Now use the MRGBZGrabber tool with Autocrop off and Shaded RGB on to capture the canvas. A new texture will appear in the Texture palette, but this one will (thanks to "Shaded RGB") have the material info baked into it, ready for export.
