This is a work in progress, there is still many unfinished parts to the main subject(below). The finished image will be about double the horizontal size and slightly taller. If anyone could offer any advice before I continue I would be very grateful.

OK here is where I am:
- The ear will be smoothed into the head
- The eyes are placeholders
- The lighting is supposed to be this bright.

What I would like help on: :)
- Any tips on making eyebrows
- Help on making fine grooves on the lips.
- Any comments on the freckles? Is there a better way to do it than painting color and letting the color bump do the rest, or do you think something else would look better than freckles?
- And most of all which color would suit the lips, I have tried every dark red/tan color in the book but it never seems right. I'm thinking I also have to do something about the material before it will work?

Info:
- Used Six lights, all set as Sun, 2 of them backlights. 3 lights were set to cast shadows.
- The colorizer material was used for the skin, with variations(high/low) of the skin color set in slot 1 (S1). Diffuse curve edited.
- Head modeled from Sphere3D, ear is seperate Sphere3D, both at 512x256 resolution.
- Rays at:110 Aperture at:65

Thank you.

the skin has a wondeful likeness to it.. the eyes could use a little more detail in them since your doing a close up image.. other than that i think your image will turn out awesome.

- Any tips on making eyebrows

What I do sometimes is a draw an outline of the eyebrows using the simple brush (with ZAdd off) and fill in the inside with the fiber brush using a low density. Or you might just want to fill in the inside using the simple brush or paintbrush with small curved strokes. (Whatever suits you better for what you are trying to do). When I have the eyebrows right I erase the eyebrow outline using the simple brush set to the same color as the skin color.

- Help on making fine grooves on the lips.
Just use either the simple brush or paintbrush with ZSub or ZCut set in the draw pallette.

- Any comments on the freckles? Is there a better way to do it than painting color and letting the color bump do the rest, or do you think something else would look better than freckles?
The freckles look fine to me.

- And most of all which color would suit the lips, I have tried every dark red/tan color in the book but it never seems right. I'm thinking I also have to do something about the material before it will work?
For the lips try saving your skin material and reload it in another slot. (If you have the demo, set another material to the same settings as your skin material). With the new material increase the specularity and use a slightly darker and just a slight touch redder/browner shade of color for the lips.

Hope this was helpful.

lol, I really like the freckels. They look very "nice" on him. At least.. in the nicests manner. :p I really like the eyes and the skin looks amazing! I've been trying to get my skin down right, but haven't come up with any good results.

I don't think these were the comments you were looking for, but I cannot help you with anything, for I am new, and still trying to figure those things out. ;) GREAT model! :tu: :tu: :tu:
