First time post images here, and I'm really hoping for great feed make on how I can improve my work. The fallowing images are from various art test and just sculpts that I did to further my skills. I'm really striving to work in the film or video games industry so if any one can give me any advise on what I should do to get my foot in the door it would be greatly appreciative. you can also check out my web site for more work. www.nolinestudios.com (http://www.nolinestudios.com)

Thanks

Ryan

Head was completely modeled and textured in zbrush.the clothes where modeled in Maya then brought into Zbrush for detailing and texture. I then exported out a low subdivision mesh with displacement and normal maps into Maya for rendering.

I had a lot of trouble getting the hair I wanted in Maya so what you see here was painted in Photoshop along with a little additional texture work. Final image was comped in Nuke.

This one was created by comping different rendered elements from Zbrush in Photoshop. I also did the texture work and painted the clothes in Photoshop.

You might do some master copies to learn anatomy properly, before you go about destroying it in your characters...Just a suggestion that might be useful to you, while your trying to get your foot in the door..:)

Excellent work, you may want to add some life sculpts to our portfolio. Over the weekend I went to GDC and a game designer said that having life sculpts in your work greatly improves your chances of getting hired. There are two reasons for this, first in most video games the most widely used characters are humans and not monsters, second everyone does monsters because they are fun to do. Show that you can accurately create a digital person and it will help you stand apart from everyone else.

It kind of crazy or guys mentioned that because I just did a figurative sculpt a couple of weeks go. Just got busy with some stuff but here it is, still have a lot of work to do on it but it seems to be coming a long nicely.

Thanks for taking the time to post on my thread.
