Ok it's not really a Zbrush problem so I didn't want to start a thread in the troubleshooting forum. I was wondering if anybody else is having problems with Win7 not letting you enter numeric values into slider inputs. I tried to enter an exact number into the decimation master sliders and many others just for the sake of it and I can't. Same happened to me in XSI so I figure it's a Win7 issue.

I've looked everywhere for the mention of it but couldn't find anything. Anybody experienced this before? Or maybe you've found a way out? :)

I haven't run in to that problem.

Are you using a non qwerty keyboard (I'm thinking of a french one)?

I solved the problem - forgot to say it here :) turns out by default the normal functions of the NumPad are disabled in win7 - I had to change some settings in the control panel's Ease of Access settings.... [and no way, I'm definitely not using a non-QWERTY keyboard - have one at work and it's a nightmare  I always confuse my keys ]

Ah, I work on a laptop, that would explain why I never had that problem :) Glad you got it resolved.

thanks :) - yeah I can't see why they would set up the NumPad other than as a Number Pad by default... HELLO! ;)

Oh yes, the Ease of Access controls - I'm still looking for those. ;)
