heres a couple tips
Use a cube for base modify it a lil
Start with a sphere and go to symmetry- click x symmetry and click Radial. Choose the amout of points you want
Model the trophy and then put the two parts together. You may want to add some other parts for more details

Have you tried using the SweepProfile3D tool? You can use it to draw the base outline and then edit the tool afterwards just like you would a 3D sphere etc.

heh thx guys..mond telling me how u did that EZ?

i use material (toy plastic)
i flatten a 3D Cube and made it 5 sides
for the bottom Base and top.
with ZADD off i went to Texture and chose the wood looking texture i painted it on with a simple brush.
if you just add texture to the cube it wont look right so paint it.
the pole are 3D cylinder just make them long and same method. all done in seprate Layers.
the top Bowl with the zbrush logo is with (sweep profile)
and the very bottom plate i used the MRGBZ Grabber on the hole pic and took another 5 Sided 3d cube and applyed texture off my mrgbz grabber and chose Material(gradient sky)and use trasparncy so it would have transparncy and the texture i added to it gave it a look of it reflecting off the base.
and the Letters were off my ZBrush Font Master

Wide range of throphy styles, all are adequate depending on their ultimate use. I think that EZ's version is more of the type the member who asked was looking for, but he is quite capable of speaking for himself, as I may be way off base.
