I'm working on another 'Karrot' scene, and used TextureMaster to do it...It worked great for my 'Old Man Karrot' when I applied texture to him....My question is what does 'Pick Shaded' do, compared to just 'Pick'...Since this is the first time I've used TM for a project really, I thought I would ask here, so the 'Maestros' could bring me up to speed... :)

Shift G transfers a gradient color change between polygon faces (Blinn maybe?)

While G gives you a harsher paint transfer between faces.

I usually use Shift G. But I'm a color junkie.

Hey SC! The Pickshaded command will pickup your object after you have painted on it AND it will transfer your current lighting settings and material lighting setings into the texture at the same time. Say you paint an apple with a real nice texture. You set your lights with a strong foreground highlight and a dark radial light. You choose a material with a bump and low ambience/high diffuse. When you pickshaded it will pick up those light settings and you will basically see your texture as if it hand been rendered with those settings.

[EDIT] Actually I mean shadings and not lightings since when really do render the image the light settings will affect it again.

My thanks to you guys for opening a hole into the industrial-strength concrete my frontal lobes turned into, when I tried to figure this out...
I think I've got it now! :tu: :)
