well I did this sketch over coffee...I have been trying to stick to normal stuff...but sometimes ya just have to let it out....this guy is a large grub like creature that lives off of mollusks and foliage...reminded me a lot of my Pudge images....maybe they are from the same planet....anyhoo...thnx for viewing it as always...and if anyone has a name for it...give it a shot

Ron

Hi Ron that is a very good drawing, this is a good one to try painting it at a high resolution and see for yourself the big difference it make to overall look of your images.

Hey Ron, nice sketch! No idea on the name, but since it likes foliage maybe you can include him in one of your outdoorsie pics? :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

What kind of coffee are you drinking up there!?!?!? ;)

 That's pretty cool.

I would call him "Pupae".

Or "EarthWormWally".

Hi Ron I fooled around with it using my new methodology for a very short time. The following is what I came up with, I am certain that if you spent some time with it using this tech. you would have a super image. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1019851752tzx.jpg

Ron, your creature looks like something Giger might have come up with. Excellent stuff. :tu:

Ron, I just realized I did not get your permission to meddle with your drawing. I hope you are not offended. I just wanted you to see how quickly you could get something done. I am sorry, I should have asked your permission first.

Hey Joe....just came back over from doing some of the painting on the wip....hey I am flattered that you would take the time to paint on something of mine actually.(I have a big cheshire cat smile right now).. :D :D :D :D so don't worry about that ....and hey snicker..anytime anyone wants to sell something of mine don't hesitate...long as I get a fifty fifty cut... ;) ;) ;) ;) but anyhoo....here is the first paintup of the sketch....still a long ways from done...comments, tips, 1 21, all appreciatd of course...so here is the Wip#2

and thnx for the Giger comment. That was an ego booster..he does remind me of the ancient astronaut on the first Alien movie...
EDIT...I pulled down the other wip#2 so I wouldnt be hoggin all the gallery space here....

Hi Ron,
Don't drink the water...I suspect it may be contaiminated! Next you should try modeling this guy! Wouldn't that be something else!

Nice day for aliens it seems. Some real nice posts here today and yours is no excpetion. I'm still in my infancy of experience with this program but I was wondering if some shadowes in the right places might juice this one up a bit more. Youv'e already got the texture and environment sets the mood perfectly. Diggin' it with a tall shovel . :tu: :tu: :tu:

Nice work Ron, do you mean shadows or reflections?

Ron Harris
04-26-02, 09:42 PM
Azlan wanted shadows in it...so I tried to add some..but they would reflect on the water and in the reflection too right....

Great googly, Ron! This elephant-walrus thing (Walephant?) is great! Reminds me a little of Snuffelupugous (sp??) from Sesame Street.
