title says it all: for the rendering i experimented with brightness, contrast as well as red and blue adjustments in the renderpalettes modifiers window. the bird is ed_the_atoms incredible seagull tool (http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/ztools/seagull.zip) textured with southerns beechplank ZMT available at his fantabulous Material Factory (http://www.southerngfx.co.uk/general/resources/materials/materials.htm)...

the background was done using Digit’s neatobandito Curve Script (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_file-995501539eto.txt) - i recommend to study this thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000943) to get behind it’s clever features quickly.

thank you for sharing your treasures, masters! :D

Like the design of the spines. I had that script sitting front of me for a while, but have no idea what to do with it.

Hey juandel returns :D

Fitting image to mark your return - are you flying free of the doctors orders ;) Hope this doesn't cut into your massages ;)

Maybe this image is more Freudian then you know :tu: I like images to have a meaning, at least to oneself. Very nice :tu:

Hi Juandel,

Looks like Jonathan went to hell instead, so everything that Richard Bach wrote was a lie?
Now you have me wondering about the big guy...Santa Claus......I found out about the Easter Bunny...last week.

Interesting use of of script and seagull. Digits posted me the link to your other pieces using this script.....I was amazed by the forms and colour design....I particulary
liked the bottom righthand panel....Glad you are back on board....

This poor guy is running the gauntlet through the devil's butterknife labyrinth.
There is a very cool collaboration among artists here lately. Some kind of z-synergy going on. :D

thank you, my friends! :D

frogdot: imho, the functionality of Digit’s script is great... do you mean A) you did not get any results because of not knowing how to use it or do you mean B) you have not had any idea what to use it for?

in case of B) (which i can’t imagine having visited your fantastico idea-&great graphics-packed galleries): as most of times in the beginning i did not know what i was going to paint... i had modelled a 5 spiked sphere and simply let it be reproduced by Digits Crurve routines.

in case of A): i did this using an enhanced version of the script Digits sent me before taking off to a sailingtrip this weekend, but what i did here can be done with the original script easily! here are a few tips:

:b2: i zoomed out a lot so that there was mucho space around the canvas - it’s cool you can mark positions outside of the canvas so the multiplied objects look like coming and going from/to eternity

:b2: to get accustomed to the effects use very different settings (/size/orientation/Z-depth) for at least two of the three objects you are placing.

:b2: the procedure is rather simple: load script. choose an 3d-object (or model one yourself), paint it, go into transformation mode to size/rotate/place it (outside of canvas if you like). hit save (in the script’s window). hit m+ so that it’s clear that you are going to set settings for point2 now. still in w-mode drag the object somewhere else, give it another size and/or orientation and place (outside of canvas if you like) and hit save again. hit m+ so that it’s clear that you are defining the position etc. of the object controlling the spline’s curve/degree. place it. click all the options in the lower (curve objects interpolates) bar of the script having a grey square beside them (so it will snpshot/calculate orientation/size/location etc.) and change the settings in the c-time slider (the one suggested by Digits is .02). hit curveIt-3 - WOW! :D just drag object 3 somewhere else, hit curveIt again... HEHEHE and so on... lots of fun guaranteed!

impending: maybe i’m influenced by some kind of "genius loci" here, because dr. sigmund Freud’s famous couch (before he had to flee due to the nazis) was originally located within a 15 minutes walking distance from my place only! :D when i had finished the pic i was wondering, if it was a depiction of my somewhat deranged spinal column! :D

ed_the_atom: thank you for the feedback on the other one. the panel you mention is my favorite one, too. (for those who wanna have a look (http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/wheretigobig.jpg) it was not looking that nice until i started playing with the adjustments settings in the render-palette, a z-brush-feature i lovelovelove by now - and hate, because it makes decision which version to export even harder! this time i obviously choose the hell-lighting ;)

Zoid: yup, in every community really worth to be named a community, synergy is what it’s all about! :D it’s great to have access to fantastico resources as provided by the masters here!

Kathy: your feedback is full of energy, too! thank you for sharing your surplus-amount! :D

Too cool! It is really neat to see a use for my script and you have added that Juandel magic! I am working on a better format for the whole thing and will post when it is finished for anyone that is interested.
