Hi Agian :)
This symetric tool is driving me crazy :(
I cant seam to get it to work properly :(
I am trying to do the unified skin tutorial
and the symmetrical tool is not working symmetrically :( In the tutorial you make a u shape with 3 zspheres and then use the symmetric tool , but as you can see from this image its not symmetrical :(
one branch is longer and at a different angle? If i use the restore symmctric script is say its already symmetrical?
but it is not :(
Is there a bug in this tool or am I doing someting wrong?
Please help :)

do you have set your brush size to 1 when you started the zspheres ? did you set symmetry in the beginning ? both of those are important to get it right.

yes draw size was set to 1 and you cant set
the x,y,or z synnetric tool until you draw your 1st zsphere and entre object edit mode , then i set the symmetric tool,
but the round red tool indicators appear diagonial not side by side or above each other for x, an y ?
Shift clicking of the Zshere dose sometimes reset the tool so they are side by side but only on the 1st zsphere but not with a chain of zspheres ?
buggy?? :(

I suspect that your model was allowed to get out of symmetry at an early point. Once that happens, each successive ZSphere becomes progressively farther out of alignment.

It is generally helpful to keep at least two axes of symmetry active at any time. When you can't there's another thing that you can do to help: watch the circles. When they turn from red to green, you are placing your ZSphere at an ideal point for skinning. This is usually also a symmetrical point.

At this point, though, you may find that the Restore Symmetry script mentioned in your other thread will help.

try to hold down the shift key while you draw the very first shpere. this way it will be exactely orientated, and then when you click x symmstrie for example, your next shere add to the left say another will appear at the right....
