Hello everyone !

After looking at zbrushcentral forum for many years, i finally decide to take a step forward and post my works here :D

So for the little presentation, i am a young 3d artist currently studying in a video game school and i started Zbrush recently. Here you'll be able to find some of my stuff and current wip;)

Less talking and more action, so here we go.

My first work when I started to learn Zbrush was the making of one of Final fantasy's moggles. The little creature's cute but harder than i imagined to do. I started off with a very low model (you can't exactly call that a model either:D) and I had to entirely work it on zbrush. For all the equipment, I created a different subtool each time and used clusters to work on both side of the cloth and it's little bag.

After that I decimated it, I did a retopology in XSI in order to calculate both an ambiant occlusion and a normal map.

Next one was the first portrait I had to make. I used as a reference one of my drawings. I started with a really simple topology to be able to truly feel how to scuplt a face. I am currently texturing it and rigging it.

This is one of my current WIP, a sculpt of Zarakynel : Greater demon of Slaneesh created by ForgeWorld.
I actually love that figurine, all demonish yet give this womanly feeling. I only started with the head though and right now my biggest concern is wether :
I sculpt it in pose, for a hi res rendering
or
I sculpt it and then make a retopo for normal mapping and animation.

Hello there, it's been quite some time

Lotta work to do, but i managed to learn how to use zspheres.

For this model, the basemesh model was done using zspheres and when i was happy with how it was, i sculpted it. at some point i had to severe the head from the body in order to subdivide it a little more than the body.

might I suggest that the torso should be at a regular human human height just as in the classic sculpture so that the human form seems like an after thought.Also the scaling of the head to the horse body in the image from the front and side seems like it tapers to the top,so the body should be scaled up a bit.

Hi !

Thanks for the link, it's true that's it's way more powerful than what i did, with the horse part more proeminant. Sadly my model was made quite some time ago and i didn't really worked on it since then, but i kept the reference anyway :)

Well i finished my latest project (the demon-head one) but having problem rendering with maya, I actually tried the 3Deat tutorial on simulating SSS with zbrush and compositing it in photoshop.

Hi there !

Here's my latest piece, it's called "the Ambassador". Finally decided to give in what i love : Sci-fi. Originally was a speed sculpt on zbrush, decided to fully do it. Everything was made on zbrush, rendered in keyshot.

Ren'osha - ghost.

Actually this started as my usual sunday sculpting, but my brother pointed to me it kinda looked like a ghost from starcraft, soo maybe i'm unna do a full body.

I, like before, exclusively used Zbrush for modelling, and keyshot for the

rendering (because i'm a lazy bum)

Hi there,

here's my latest work, a personal vision of a Starcraft II ghost lady, the name's Manah. This is just a turnaround of the high poly version, now i've gotta do some retopology, uv'ing, baking, texturing, rigging and animating :3 Yay
