Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wow
This image has a real presence about it, I especially like the three arms, or are they legs, on the right side, and the aligator skin has worked well. The background perspective seems a little too straight on but this only makes the image look more real like it was cut from a deep sea shot and pasted.

Kathy, this is just outstanding! This one looks so real it's ready to crawl off the screen and across the floor! My absolute favorite of yours, so far! Nice!

i love the texture, lighting, movement, background, all... just wondering, if there are 7-footed octopi around, but then it’s Z-sea, right? :D

*hugs the cool octi* =D

*knows that octopusses like to rest on one
of their arms ;), that's why you can't see the eight one*

Not to scare you out of the water, but while I was researching octopi, I found a site that had a picture from the 1920's.

Some poor fisherman caught a 20 foot octipus (not a squid, a real cephlapod) in his fishing net...VERY weird picture!! ;)

But hey, here in FL I'm more worried about the sharks! hee hee

:D starfish :D
Kathy: i guess that the sharks themselves have reason to be worried about meeting one of those 20ft. tentaclers! :D

RoROOOE Scooby DO!

I defragmented my harddrive last night, and it sent ZBrush into a Coronary Fit.

I lost my ZDoc on Cephalopod. :(

BUT I do have the original tools....textures..etc...

But it killed 2 weeks of work, so you little underwater scene wanters are going to have to wait. I'm not quite sure yet if ZBrush will even work right. I was up till 1 this morning trying untangle the mess. :(

Course maybe it wasn't the defraggin. I don't know yet.

But it was running fabulous before that event.

So be careful ZBers. Dunno. If anyone HAS defragged a drive containing Z successfully, could ya email me? I'd like to know.

thanks.
