... & frankly I'm amazed! ok they are basic images but I've been using other 3d software for around 10 years, yet I can get results so much faster and easier after just 1 week? I'm looking forward to next week!

hi simesf ,
Welcome to the forums :)
I think your work is outstanding, I am envious of the great expressions and personalities you have modelling on your character...this is a skill which I am currently aiming to attain.

May I ask if you use any particular guide or resources for attaining such personality....or is it something that you observe and develope over time?

Thanks for your reply and my congratualtions once again on some fantastic work!!

take care

Kircho

Hey Kircho,

In answer to your question, I have a few books on anatomy, but just treat them as the core. Raid the colour supplements of Sunday newspapers, go to factory book outlet stores & pick up books on anything and everything. Find books about photographers, artists (fine, fantasy, sci fi, comic), architects etc. So far I've gathered a bookcase full of reference material & it keeps growing.

Welcome aboard! I realy like the style of your modeling! very nice charicture. I cant wait to see what it looks like painted :)

For past 6 years I have tried to express myself with,

GMAXX,Blender, MAYA PLE, INSPIRE, Wings, Milkshape,3ds max (legal copy at friends work PIRATES SUCK), Lightwave,ac3d, and Rhino...

Ummm as far as game engines go:

Unreal-ED, UT2003, Quake 3 radiant, Worldcraft (half-life), HEAT (Redfaction) and TEMPTEST for quake 3 (Try this if you enjoy self torture)

and a few others only to find out that I suck at 3d artwork, I have no patients and I loose intrest quick (well after the first week)...

With ZBRUSH I can sit down in a day and make a pretty convinceing scene, or charictormodel without switching Applications ... I get to mold the IRON while its still hot, so to say.and make things while vision is still in my head...

Zbrush is an awesome tool for videogame development also, you can make textures , charictor models, mapping decoration, I have even used cubic skinning to make crumbleing brick walls in BSP (not recomended).

It is awesome for makeing masked textures also! I make gates and rod iron artwork for buildings and stuff...

ZBRUSH is the most powerful tool I have ever used.

Very nice..... the only thing I have problem with is to get use of the tools. It is all dif. from any other software I have seen...
like a toolbar..at the top where all is stored,Am so use to photosop "Adobe" that it is hard at time to know where I should go for next tool. Again :tu: :tu:
