Switch Editing Between 2 Objects

Hi all,

I just purchased the Zbrush with download ref. manual tonight, and I can't find the way to do these simple things :
( It could be in the Ref. Manual, but it's too late at night ) :)

1) If I have two (2) objects on the same layer, how do I switch the editing mode between those 2 objects ? (Transform -> Edit)

2) For some reason, I keep losing the same "Editing mode" time to time even I tried the short cut "T".

Please help :-(

You can't edit more than one object...in a sense.
