Yesterday, I got my hardcopy of Zbrush. After starting with my first work, I forgot to eat, drink and sleep...

My first work using import/export features.
I was wondering that the "render"-tool blured my image to much. So i saved it in qickrender-mode:

Welcome aboard C! :D
As far as the 'blurring' goes, you can alter the antialiasing defaults in the render panel...I find them WAY too high for my taste...

Nice image! :tu:  :tu:

Thanx, guys (and girls?)...

@stonecutter: I tried it with antialiasing levels... they were too smooth for this image. Maybe I'll try to resize the image (the antialias levels correspond to the image size, don't they?)

@frenchy pilou: Thanx for inspiration ;)..

Hi Crusoe

You can change the antialiasing levels in the Render palette, but there is also a specific antialiased view mode called AA half. This can be found in the Zoom palette.

Most people use the AA half view to export; the trick is to make your document twice the size of your intended output and then AA half it.

Welcome! this is an excellent first image. Do not be afraid to ask questions, there will always be someone else wanting to know the answer to that question also. Put in the hours and you will get the results! Happy times ZBrushing! :) :tu: :tu: :)

Hehe...

Thanks!
I was thinking about the AA-Half-method for a short time. But my PII, 400Mhz said to me:"Don't blame me, I'm workin' really hard for you!! I'll do it in 1280*1024. Never ask me for more..." :D

You know, my PC is about to retire...
But I will try that after having buyed a new one.

Here is a screenshot of a quick best render setup. Two very inportant things to note. One, the depth of field is OFF. This may or may not help. Also, the depth adjustment is off as well. This too might help. Now, foe the AA palette to work, the adjustments box must be on (as it is). The aa setting are as in the picture too. This is personal taste though. Make sure Super Sample is at 0 or 1...anything more and ZB will smooth it that many times over again. The sample size is also important. If you are not using the AA-half then don't go above 3 or 4. This is also personal taste.

Hope this helps a little.

Good luck and welcome aboard.

PS-Island looks awesome! :tu:
