quote:

This is my first creation after two days from meeting this awesome program :)
The tool that will do the trick for that is the MultipleMarker tool. There's info on it in the QuickLinks here, but these are the basics:
1) Draw each piece as close as you can to its actual position. Make sure that their scale and orientation in relation to each other are what you're looking for.
2) As you draw each object, place a marker for it.
3) In the Markers palette, turn on all of the options.
4) Clear your canvas and select the MultipleMarker tool.
5) Draw a stroke on the canvas, without clicking on a marker. The tool will activate all of the markers at once, forming a 3D object.
6) In Edit mode, reposition the pieces in relation to each other if you need to. You can rotate the group as a whole just like any other 3D object in Edit mode. But when your red dot is on the middle of a piece, you can move that piece independently of the others. This lets you get final positioning.
7) When everything is just right, click Tool>Modifiers>Make Polymesh. A new tool will appear in your palette.
8) Exit Edit Mode and clear the screen.
9) Select the new tool and save it, draw it, or whatever. All textures and materials from the original objects will also be transferred over.
Hope that helps!
