Not sure if it is a coincidence, but since buying ZBrush my system has become very unstable and freezes several times a day :( I am unable to do ctrl-alt-del and just have to reboot. I am running a high spec machine with 512ram and Win XP with IE6 as my browser.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks
Di

Hi Diane

I was using XP for about two months and it doesn't seem to like carrying a load.

Everything was super for a while until I installed one app to many. There are a few people here at my work (ISP) that have tried XP and have experienced similar problems.

It just starts to give problem sudenly without much of a reason so I doubt that it is Zbrush causing the problem. I didn't even know that Zbrush existed when I tried XP :D

I have downgraded to windows 2000 and to me, it seems like an upgrade :D

I haven't had any trouble with XP, myself. So far, it's my favorite of the Windows family. But one thing I learned from working in the IT industry: every computer has its own personality! Even ones that are supposedly identical.

Aurick; I'm definately with you on that one. I too run WindowsXP and it is by far my preferred Operating System to date.

Hmmm I would agree that XP is the best of the win family. It was running so smoothly and everything was great until I installed ZBrush. But of course, that could just be a coincidence. I am just trying to eliminate as I troubleshoot!

When I installed z-brush, my system become unstable too, and maya and mudbox start to work weird, stucking and crashing, whatīs the matter with Z-brush? I had to uninstall it and Voila! my system, Maya and Mudbox running normal again, so what's the deal with Z-brush? I ask again, itīs a good software but it cause bad issues.
