Wouldn't distributing a walkthrough of an artists signature technique degrade its appeal and harm an artists identity?

Is it unfair to ask for something that is not specifically offered?

Is the open sourcing and homogenisation of technique really what we want in art / design?

Slap it on a slab, lets be art pathologists?
