the left side is me kindof..painted over an image of me..cut it and put it on a plane and layered it over another model of mine and rendered it, baked it and repainted part of it...kindof bizarre looking so I thought I would share it....I do have a question for the forum though...after i baked it, shouldnt I have been able to paint over the whole image..? There were two layers involved...shouldnt that have flattened them out and allowed for me to do that..???thnx http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1019584976cdv.jpg
Nice work Ron, I like the idea behind this image.

Ya got me, C-Man...I have yet to bake anything...!
But it is an interesting idea you put into this image...If I were doing something like this, I would probably cover the opposite side of each part with black, apply each in turn to a plane using 'Hide Points', and once they were in place, each on their own layer, I would merge the layers, and paint whatever I wanted on the now, single-layer document...I don't understand why you needed to bake at all. (But that's just me... ;) )

cool idea Ron. I think the baking works with the currentlyu active layer - but I'm not really sure about that. It isn't something I've used to any degree.
Edit: I just booted up ZBrush, and tried it out. A two layer document; a sphere on each. Rendered and baked the first layer, then 2d painted on it. None of the paint showed on the second layer. Baked the second layer, and painted on that one... So, it would appear the "Baking" process affects the "active layer." It will also "bake" all the textures/materials and color information on the canvas into the active layer. A good idea, then, to turn off the other layers prior to baking.

Why do you do this to me! at this time of the afternoon I am so hungry, I do not want to snack or I would not be able to eat with Marva when she gets home, but the gastric juices certainly started flowing reading about all that food :D :D :D .
When I get a ZScript that works well I will send it to you.

Ron...See what happens when you don't chew your food. Now look at what has lodged itself in your insides. May need to have that surgically removed! BTW. Love the third version of your self portrait(all the versions are fab). Is
that you at four in the morning infront of your monitor ZBrushing til your blurred.
;)
You crack me up, buddy-o! I hate boiled cabbage, though. Guess that's okay, since I wasn't invited to dinner.

Well Ron you dog you...after reading this I just had to go home and fix a big old pot of beans (black beans, pinto beans, and navy beans) complete of course with fried potatoes, fresh onions and sweet cornbread!! Yum yum yum!! Of course my peers at work tomorrow are all gonna regret it!! :D :D

i agree with impending on this one..lol.. looks great ron.
Love the pics Ron! That's really a unique idea!
BTW, my favorite meal is Black-eyed peas, pork chops, and cornbread (non-sweetened)! Anything else like corn on the cob, or maybe creamed corn..just makes it better.. :)
