Hello friends,

My goal is not starting a fire with asking this. I know and use Maya already but seriously want to go with Zbrush. Because of it's wideness I already have some training material for 3ds Max also.

I'm seeing lots of amazing renders with 3ds max - I don't how good is the workflow between them. I can go with Maya or with 3ds max - but at this point I need suggestions about cons and pros... They both have mental ray integrated which is nice but that's all I know about Max unfortunately.

I'm also using a low end system at home - an Athlon 64 x2 4400 with 4gigs and windows xp x64. Can't go with too much poly tough :(

I don't know either, but I've seen amazing work come from both with ZBrush. Also, ZBrush 3.5 has early abilities of GoZ for maya. See this post

So if you already know maya, there might not be much reward for the investment of time learning max. I'm just going by the final renders I've seen.

Use a combination of both max and z brush.you can save your max work as obj and use it in z brush even peaces and attachments to your models,i think about
posting some work but sometimes have issues doing so in a way becouse i had somewhat the same poblem now im ready though.:D
I also whant to ask do you have any display images yet for some show and
tell.
