Hi,
This image was created to test the new lighting system implemented in ZB (created using ZB 1.55 demo)
Enjoy

It kind of throws me off a bit, but doesn't it seem like it should be a solid shadow where the plate casts it's shadow? It looks like a light ring is within the shadow. I tried looking at real time objects and it didn't seem to look that way. I am by no means an expert and just making an observation. Looking for feedback myself on this. Nice still life. :)
Hi DMerchen,
I am not sure why the shadows are casted like that coz the plate is actually a solid object. Well I am new to 1.5(Demo) and I am still experimenting.. ;)
Thanks for the comments... :)

I am glad you see that too sTiNg. I figured it was a solid object, and it looks like the light is shining right through. I don't think it is anything that you have done, and I wouldn't blame it on you being new to the Demo. I still like it though. Nice modeling. :D
Wondered about that too. I'm curious, was ZMode on?
i like it. the lighting gives it good depth, shame about the halo thing. One question, is all the noise jpeg compression, or was that effect given on purpose
Thanks guys for the comments.
Keith, the shadows were set to zmode.....
hitch2, the noise was added on purpose..... ;)
I can post the zbr file if anyone wants to check it out... :)

What was the shadow length you used. Did you try a shadow length of around 300 - 500? That might be enough to fill in the hole in the shadow underneath the plates.
Nice job on the scene by the way. :tu:
